Conduct a Test:
Call the support line for each.

That one action, may help you decide which one matches your needs for support.
Good point, there is no practical free tech support for unitec unless you go through your distributor when the unit is down and you need answers right away. I think DRB has a subscription or pay tech support. But the wash select is solid and I've had few issues with it. Working on a wash select is a lot like working on a desktop computer and it has a lot of components that can be swapped out by a customer.

Wash select has a lot of built in answers for a small wash for fleet customers. These include the ability to issue discount codes and free wash codes. But the discount codes don't work with cryptopay. The standard software allows up to 100 accounts, the enhanced fleet software would allow 1000.

You can also make custom voice messages with the wash select in a matter of a few minutes if it equipped with the voice option.

I wouldn't pull out a wash select to replace with a goldline, and I wouldn't pull out a goldline to replace with a wash select. But if I had my choice I would opt for wash selct because I'm so familiar with it.

If I was buying new, I would likely look for a unit that has a more modern interface than either. But I think there is a potential risk of less reliability than either unit.

I really like the Hamilton Goldline. I've had mine for almost 20 years and it has been very reliable. There have been a few minor issues, but Hamilton tech support and/or Randy Nix have been able to help solve all problems. The unit has held up well. You can install a new faceplate and buttons and make it look new again. I added cryptopay and TAP to mine and it speeds up thoughput alot. I bought a blue carbon fiber wrap for mine which improved the look ; the stainless looked rough after years of presoak mist.
