Hi all. I'm wondering if there have been other reports of coin mech issues associated with the new Canadian one and two dollar coins with IDX X10s.
The coins were recently introduced to the market with different alloys.
So different that they have to be programed as new coin types or tokens.
My self serve bays and vacs have IDX MA800s and after learning the two new alloy coins in separate coin positions, they have been solid. But they have to be learned as separate coin types, rather than with the older generation coins.
On my 3 Gold lines, the X10s are intermittently not sensing the newly learned coins and just stealing them instead of rejecting to the coin return. The coin mechs are of varying ages, clean and functioning fine with the older coins.
Is this a known issue with the new coins? Are there other alternative coin mechs for the Gold Lines? Again my 16 IDX MA800s are all doing fine with the new coins. The new $1 and $2 coins are now widely circulated so finding a solution quick is important.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
