Yellow Pages Scam

1. Foreigners call representing yellow pages. Boss is unavailable so they talk w/an employee.

2. Yellow pages rep rattles on in poor english about your listing.

3. They somehow get an unsuspecting employee to accept an ad totalling $500.

4. Owner never pays for Yellow pages ads; never did. Owner disregards Yellow pages envelopes as junk mail; he always has.

5. Yellow pages rep calls demanding payment, saying the company's credit is in jeopardy etc.

6. Owner says he is not paying, did not authorize any employee to purchase anything, did not sign a contract, etc.

7. Owner says he will call his attorney and notify him of the scam.

Actually the regular phone book is a scam also. I think i get 3 or 4 phone books a year. Very few i know are listed in a phone book.. It's just more to throw away. For those that don't have internet phones like me, I use google text.
For business listings only. 466453 then name of company and zipcode. You get back a text with address and number.
