I am looking for a labeler that will print on tape 1" or wider. I see several for smaller tapes but nothing 1" or larger, preferably in color or at least the capability to buy different colored tapes.

This may be the animal I am looking for. ThanksBrother makes one but it's over $300. I found one listed on eBay for $140. They changed the format years ago, so you'll have to search "brother p-touch 36mm" for 1 1/2" or 24mm for 1". They do make a lot of different colors of text and tape:

Jackson Hirsh has some nifty lamination pouches where you can make sealed labels of any size. We have found them to be so good we even invested in their high end laminator. Works best with color laser printer output which are really reasonable nowadays compared to the past. Why not print Labels on computer printer?
