If I have a vac motor go bad, should I replace the other motors on that same vac? Of so, why?
If not, what's the reason...?
If not, what's the reason...?
There are several reasons to change both at once. If I have one fail not due to worn brushes, I change both and replace the brushes in the one that was still working. When I have a used pair of the same exact kind with new brushes I put them together in another vac. The vac will whine and hum if the motors aren't matched. Not sure what motors you are using but there is really no need to change both. Even the cheap kr brand will last forever.
Imagine how long they would have lasted, had you changed the brushes.Almost forever. These were put in when dinosaurs roamed and the earth was still cooling. Maybe I should have just changed the bad one. View attachment 324
