Vacuum nozzles falling off

What do you all do to keep vacuum nozzles attached to hoses? If i do nothing, customers pull too hard and take them off the vacuum hose. So for years we have used duct tape and taped the nozzles to the hoses. But after 2 weeks the duct tape gets kinda nasty. Any suggestions??

We use a hose cuff to connect the nozzle to the hose. They occasionally unscrew from the hose so we use a short stainless steel screw through the cuff into the hose.

Awesome idea. My hose end should be 1.5 inches. Do you use a 1.5 inch cuff?

Are you using 11/2" hose? We tried it years ago and had problems with it clogging up.

Until they make a claw and cuff that lock together properly, that's what I'll keep doing.

I use a cuff and usually use silicone to lock the cuff on the hose or the customer will unscrew them off the end of the hose.

Are you using 11/2" hose? We tried it years ago and had problems with it clogging up.

We always used 2 inch tapered to 1.5 inch hose. If it clogs, it usually clogs in the handle

Our hoses "screw" up into the vac head, then we use a heavy duty black tape which I find doesn't degrade over time. It's like duct tape, but matt black and seems to be much better quality. Not sure of the brand, just from our local hardware store.
