It has been $99/year for several years now and we have been pretty happy with it at that price. The new price is $199 and at first I was aggravated until I asked a few questions about what it now includes. It now includes LTL shipments, chemicals and over weight packages which it did not include before. For us I think it still has value and possibly more than before depending on what we buy. Some things are still more expensive than KR though so there's that. IMHO CWSS still has superior customer service over KR.

Do you still order from
KR? I’m going to look at this. Is the price difference significant between KR and CWSS? I’ve never looked

Yes we still order from KR because they stock more so it can ship much quicker. CWSS just doesn't have a ton of things in stock. Most of time CWSS and KR are identical on price but there are some differences on some things.

I order from both and pretty sure I will continue to do so. Both companies do a good job overall with the tip on personalized service from CWSS. KR has a larger selection but CWSS stocks 85% of what I need on a regular basis. When you get into the less needed items that KR takes the lead on stock.

I just ordered a ~$45 solenoid and checked prices. I think It was $1 cheaper at KR, but I'm in the elite program at CWSS so no shipping fees made it $20 cheaper to my door from them. Plus, it's nice to order something small with zero concern for shipping costs. I've seen posts on here where shipping costs from KR greatly exceed the cost of an item. When you run on low margins I imagine that shipping costs must truly reflect the cost of an employee to pick and pack that part. And shipping costs have definately gone up in the past couple of Years.

Some oddball things like mosmatic products are considerably cheaper at KR so I do price shop. I still order enough from KR to get free shipping on many items from their points program. The points program does indeed take the sting out of shipping fees. I think I have over 100K points at KR. The 40lb box for 7500 points is to me the best value.

So they don’t charge shipping on chems if you’re elite? Have you tried them?

That is what they told me but they just added chemicals to the elite program. We do not buy chemicals from them currently.

Another reason we buy from them a lot is that they are only about 120 miles away so we get it the next day.

I placed an order yesterday at CWSS and asked clarification on what is included in the Elite shipping. He said literally everything.

I am a CWSS Elete memeber, but doubling their memebership is going to be hard to swallow...I currently get Warswaw Chemicals delivered from Trivalley...And they have been wonderful over the years. I got a letter from them recently that they are raising prices...Might be time to Price shop for Chemicals too and compare to CWSS!? And "They" are saying there is only a 7.5% inflation rate. I call BS. Everything I touch has gone up 25-50%... My sewage and water is going up 56%...Its un-ending!

I continue to price shop between KR and CWSS...But will have to do the math to make sure $199 memebership is worth the free shipping!

I KNOW FACT FOR BUYING THEM BLENDING FOR MY TRUCK WASH COMPANIES FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS THAT CHEM RAW MATERIALS IN THE LAST YEAR HAVE NEAR DOUBLED UNFORTUNAETLY. RETAIL BLENDED IS REDICULOUS NOWADAYS!

I have so many bonus points from Kleenrite that I just use them to cover the shipping. I order pallet loads of soap a few times a year and get free shipping on that anyway and get enough points from that to use for free shipping on everything else.

Same here. Haven't paid shipping on KR in years now.

We ordered a couple oddball SS chemicals from CWSS on the Elite Program, pretty sure they are all Stinger Chemicals - everything we have gotten so far has been Stinger private labeled for CWSS.

This is what we have done as well, and are considering cancelling the CWSS elite when it comes up for renewal. Both CWSS and KR usually get us our packages in 2-3 days if product is in stock.

We have only bought shampoo and fragrance chemicals from them and they were made by National Automotive Chemical in Cambridge Ohio. I assumed the rest of their chemicals were made by them as well. Maybe they get different products from different vendors or maybe they switched.

This post just made me realize that there is a points program through KR... 5 years and tens of thousands of dollars later I just got my 500 points for signing up for their "free rewards program". Gotta say I'm feeling pretty stupid. Better late then never I guess 😒

It has not been around that long. Maybe two years?
