How strong are you running it at, I won't say it's the best, but about30-40% better than my other one that uses Ecolabs soap. I was using the 2000, but they switched me over to tire Ha as it's a little stronger.

The tire Ha is supposed to be a tire and motor cleaner, I think they said its the same as fleet ha, but with color, No color out in the bay. I am using Total power as the alkaline mix, its a light brown and i guess it might be be a better choice for tougher cleaning, or for water that isn't ideal. The total power was about $5 more a box.

I've been comparing my D&S i5000 using Hobo presoak and Warsaw on everything else, to a local D&S 5000 using Blendco. Both times my experience is that the Blendco is doing a good job, but not any better than my setup. Head-to-head, here are my observations in an unscientic matchup:

My Hobo is as good and maybe a little better than theirs - my eyebrow is less noticeable.
My Warsaw Jazz tri-foam is quite a bit better than theirs in show.
Their wax beads better than my Weather Shield w/Drying agent.

I don't know whose is better in glossiness of the finish product, but I have no complaints about how mine does.

Im just sick of blenco. I put a box of powder in last week. I washed 20 cars and the visible powder is gone from the tank already. Paid 215 for 5 gallons of presaok 2000 and I think 150 for the powder. It seems like the price goes up every time I get an order of soap.

I am currently using the grape bug presoak for my ss bay presoak. Its good stuff. Do you use it for your automatic? I have two powder tanks one for ss and one for the automatic. I am wondering if something can be wrong with my automatic powder tank. Im not washing cars and the motor kicks on to mix the powder.

Currently use the green presoak for both my automatic and handbays. Asked my salesman for something with more show and fragrance a while back. Don't know why he just came up with trying the grape now.

Only have one powder tank. I'd estimate that a box of powder does 100 cars through the automatic plus whatever handbay use in that time.

My guess is that there's something wrong in your mixing tank where the powder and liquid come together. I had a Hydrominder didn't shut off very intermittently. It ran a bunch of soap down the drain before I figured out what was going on.

Harley, you probably should quit and try something else, your salesman set it up poorly if 20 cars eats up all the powder, it should be over 400.

Red, Who Makes Hobo as I'm always looking for the best soap, I have gotten used to the powders, those 55g drums aren't for me anymore, so i would like it to be a powder.

Something is wrong with your tank if you wash only 20 cars on a box of powder, call you distributor, or blendco direct

When you switched to grape bug remover, did you have to increase your usage compared to presoak 2000?

400 cars? Really? Can I start a survey and ask all supersat users how many cars you wash with a box of powder?? Thanks

I no longer use Blendco, I had a few issues so I found something I liked better.

When I did use it though, a box of powder would last around 400 cars. If you used a box of powder for 20 cars that would be over $5 a car in just powder. There is something drastically wrong with your setup.

What issues did you have with blenco? Was it the price? What brand did you go to now? Is it a powder?

The price didn't bother me too much. I am very hands on and had a good handle on CPC and didn't feel that was out of line with the performance.
I had issues with the powder falling out of solution. When the powder fell out of solution it would clog lines and tips creating another maintenance issue. It was especially bad on my Vector and to a lesser degree in the self serve products. It wasn't a problem on my Laser 4000. If I only had the Laser I might still be using Blendco.

In my tunnel I didn't think the Blendco products gave me enough of a show for the customers and the triple foam didn't rinse well.

I am now using QualChem. It works as well as Blendco (without the problems) and the "show" (foam, fragrance and color) is all operator controlled and can be adjusted as desired. I can also use the same products on my inbays, ss bays and tunnel so I don't have to store nearly as many products.

Harley, what does your distributor say about this? Have you titrated all your products that use powder?
