We have a EE and wanted suggestions on rain guarantees. We have an automated gate system and have had several customers ask about this. How is it done, (and is it worth it) without a kiosk?

We do it without auto gates. It is only with the top package. We print the receipt in Duplicate and write make, model and license on our copy. It goes in a slot with all tickets for that date. If same vehicle returns within 5 days the wash it put thru the DRB / Datatrax agian as a sale and the reciept for the free wash/sale is stapled to the prior reciept and then when we do the sales reconciliation we treat the rewash ticket like a coupon for that amount.

With auto gates I do not know how you could enforce the same car only system. You would have to talk to gate peole vis a vis some readable bar code on the reciept which the auto teller could read as a rewash for a limited period but a crafty customer might realize it could be used for another car.

Is the gate machine capable of printing a receipt and generating a code good for a certain time--Probably would get abused though with another car.
