wow, nice to know. So we need only replace the insert or does it have to use their housing? Here a link to Ginsan’s web site http://www.ginsan.com/techspecs/tg-283 - Sensorton with Cleaning Instructions.pdf
We’ve been tossing the Sensorton’s and replacing them with Parker Slugbuster P-47 http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-1216-slugbuster-i-old-style-quarters-only.aspx The problem with the sensortons are they can be fooled into starting with a magnet.
This is not true anymore. Any units produced since early 2008 have a magnet proof output. The problem with the sensortons are they can be fooled into starting with a magnet.
Dan that’s all well and good. But how many hundreds or thousands of Sensortrons coin acceptors where made with Ginsan knowing that there was a problem and they continued to make them. Has Ginsan ever offered to swap out the Sensortrons that can be manipulated with a magnet for the newer model that can’t be manipulated. This is not true anymore. I've sent older ones in that could be fooled by a magnet and for $35 Ginsan modified them to the magnet proof version.Dan that’s all well and good. The Slugbuster frame is slightly different from the Sensortron frame. I'd use the Slugbuster frame or housingwow, nice to know. So we need only replace the insert or does it have to use their housing?
