What is the spacing for the mounting holes on the cryptopay swiper in bay?
Good to know, i want to install cyrptopay but i don't currently have a swiper, but i did get the template from them so i can have my faceplates made up for the dixmor timer and holes for the install of the swiper in bay. Thanks, good info.
That is where it is nice to work with companies that use good CAD software. On a smaller flat surface mounting situation ... quick printouts on most printers will yield a perfect template every time. The 1:1 scale setting on the right kind of paper to work with is helpful... especially in a situation like this. I just had some water jetting done on some stainless pieces about the size of a magnetic card swiper for coin mech faceplates for our laundromat dollar coin mech upgrade project & it was nice to lay the faceplate on the pdf file printout & see the perfect alignments of everything including the holes placed.I don't know about anyone else that has installed these but when I did my first one and I used the template then attempted to mount the swiper I found the holes were off just a bit and had to redrill one of them. It was not off much ... when I mentioned it to the guys at cryptopay when I called to get them set up they mentioned that they sometimes copy them on a copy machine and that can change the spacing a small amount. It was not a big deal to enlarge the holes with a vari-bit but you could encounter that. Although I have not found as many customers using credit cards in the bays as I though would it is a nice option and it does seem to be picking up a bit but very slowly.
