I'm speaking of the hose from the boom to the foam brush anf tf. The Goodyear looks the most like what I have now. Anybody have any problems with it? What is the most efficient way to keep the hose from crimping where it attaches to the fb?
Thanks
I'm going to replace the hose to my triple foam and foam brush before winter starts. KR has a lot of choices. Any suggestions as to which is the best type or brand to use?
Thanks
I think it will be brand name and local for me from now on. This is the first time that I've had trouble with Venture but this erased all of the savings.
Anbody having any problems with the 175w mh bulbs from Venture? I replaced some and assumed I had ballast issues since the new bulbs didn't come on. So far half of the problems have been ballasts and the other half have been bad new bulbs. That $13 sale price doesn't seem so good now!
I'd like to have "do-overs" on a couple of things. I cut down a foot on my ss bay size to have more equipment room. That was a mistake. The whole ss was really a mistake. I wish I had put in 2 autos and no ss. Probably could have done it for the same money too.
I do believe that it would behoove Ryko to remember who their ultimate customer is. I think for quite some time they have looked at the distributor as their customer and have geared all of their service and pricing toward making money for the disty's. As competetition becomes tighter this will...
After having to replace my pump this year I have learned to take better care of it. I need to change the oil now. I used "compressor oil" from Lowe's the first time. It seems to me that the pump operates on the same principle as my car. Wouldn't a good motor oil be as good or better than...
I don't know if you have any farmer customers but the belt material from a hay roller would work nicely. You can probably buy it at a farm equipment store by the foot.
Thanks John. I thought that must need to roll. You don't know off the top of your head what gauge chain that is do you? I think I can remove at least 2 links.
I had to replace a clevis on the chain for one of my doors yesterday. The chain still seems to have too much play in it although the clevis is tightened as much as it will go. I may end up having to remove a link from the chain. The chain goes around a sprocket at the top and just a round...
Good to know. Thanks. I don't feel very smart realizing the thing was just not tight. Once I brought in the 12 foot ladder so I could get these old eyes close enough to see it was a big help.
I think I found the problem. The swivel is screwing in so far that I wasn't getting it in tight enough. I had to get my smallest set of channel locks to tighten it because the wrench wouldn't fit. I put about 12 rounds of teflon on it and I think it is going to be ok. I really needed another 1/2...
I'll try to take it apart again this afternoon to see if I can find a crack. This market is kind of consuming most of my time. I think the best thing for the economy would be for somebody to nuke the politicians in Washington.
It looks like it is coming from the bottom of the swivel but I thought it unlikely that both were bad. It is a Jim Coleman boom. I should get a new swivel today to try.
I only had 1 extra swivel so I don't know for sure I guess that the new one is not bad. Is the failure rate that high on those things? They are about 30-35 bucks each.
