    Jim Coleman Meter Door Replacement

I had the same exact door and swapped them with a retrofit door from Ginsan. Talk to Doug Empie, he is a great guy and can hook you up. They can design it as you wish while keeping with the specs of the old door.

    Older WeepMizer acting up

Luckily 2 nights ago was the last night below freezing for the next few days at least, so no major concern right now. I do plan on moving the sensor to a different wall to see if that helps. It's just weird that it works completely fine all year until March then acts up. The heat on the ER...

    Older WeepMizer acting up

It is the old style and has the old style sensor. I did replace with the same old style sensor. I agree about the location instructions, they make sense. What doesn't make sense is that it has been completely fine and reading accurately in that location for 17 years now, so there has to be...

    Older WeepMizer acting up

I have it in the first bay, on the wall that backs up to the ER. I always wondered about it getting heat from the ER or even the light above, but it only acts up this time of year and only the past 2 years. Never had this problem before. I even changed the light above to an LED light that...

    Older WeepMizer acting up

Last year around this exact same time of year after surviving the bitter cold with no issues, I noticed one night that is was 30 degrees and no water was weeping. I went to the wash and the Weep Mizer said it was 37 degrees outside. I adjusted the turn on to a higher number to get by, but then...

    Washworld Profile

I opted for the touchless wheel scrubbers and they do a decent job. I love the design where they are out of the way until called upon, so customers don't run into them. Use a good Tire Chemical and you will see the difference. Definitely not perfect, but better than not having them IMO.

    Cryptopay pre auth possible solution

You can. I set my preauth at $15.25 and max at $15. That way I know when it's a preauth.

    New Self Serve Equipment

I bought a used Jim Coleman pump stand and refurbished it. Cost me 20% the cost of a new setup and it works great. Took a while to find one though.

Anybody know a website for license plate info?

Here in Ky I sent the info to the State along with a check for $3 and they send back the name and insurance information. Has been Priceless. When it's an out of town plate, I just file a hit and run police report and try to let the police get the information, but it takes months. Have had...

Questions for those with a Washworld Profile

So far so good! We did connect the TS. It's part of my top wash, so hard to tell who buys it for the TS. It is my top buy up though. Business hasn't really gone up much since I added it as I had hoped, but you can't really expect too much when they built 13 new express washes last year.

    Cryptopay pre auth possible solution

You can't. That's why I stuck with the preauth. I only know it happens because people will call complaining that the wash didn't start, or it started and shut down right after. When I tell them it checks to see if the card has $15.25, I get answers like "oh, I only have $4 on that card".

    Cryptopay pre auth possible solution

You would be surprised. I also get many complaints that the wash didn't turn on, then find out they didn't have $15 in their accounts. They think the wash is $3 and they have that much on the card and the wash will shut off after $3. Even people with money in their accounts dont' read and...

Ice building up on bay walls

Never had an issue with it falling, just let it be. I don't think heat would be good for it, would be an extreme temp change in a short amount of time.

    Vacuum Locks

I tried leaving the doors unlocked, but problem is that when they open them at midnight, anyone that uses them overnight won't get suction. I put on disk locks that worked for about 6 months till a bolt cutter was used to cut the hasp last week. Hoped it was a one off incident, so I replaced...

Unlimited Pass - Why are they offered?

I'm only at 40 members now with a use rate of around 4.9. That number was lower, but has gone up in the winter. I would have many more members, but my churn rate is high as people cancel way more than I expected and I've also had to cancel several members due to abuse. I'm sure I could have...

    New autocashier

I use Worldpay with my Unitec TI's and customers don't have to choose cash or card before paying. They just insert either and it starts accepting. I can't imaging asking them to do another step.

Unlimited Pass - Why are they offered?

I've offered Everwash at my IBA's for over a year now. I had plenty of room to grow since I never have lines, but a combination of demographics and an inability to sell memberships properly has hampered the offering. You really need numbers so that the few people that wash every other day...
