    Attempted theft

That is why it is critical that citizens pay attention to the quality of local DA's & city attorneys. I agree Tom's getting something does help. I remember having very short chat with the at the time City Attorney "off the record" at a local Chamber of Commerce event. With the minute or two...

    Attempted theft

Did criminal or civil court order those payments? Maybe he is volunteering to pay because you avoided pressing charges?

    Attempted theft

One of my concerns is that instead of small businesses similar to ours not being reimbursed like Marsy's Law was supposed to somewhat do even for property criminal mischief ... but ... even worse ... the local Police Commissioner & DA in-crowd (clique) just lets them go too easily without bail...

    Dog wash …. Do, or a Dodoo…?

sjb, Based on experience ... we are glad that the dogs can't see each other while being washed. Our stalls provide that separation of view! BTW ... There is very little dog washing during our recent daily below zero F temperatures. That is one reason why I am not in any big rush to reopen...

    Squeaky noice with SS booms

FWIW ... just thinking out loud ... I wonder if there is a better block material option than just having any nylon block material machined. The following article (advert?) seems to suggest that UHMW is the best bushing material...

    Insurance Help

I wonder if the growing use of AI in the insurance industry will help or make the insurance underwriters risk evaluations better or worse. I am thinking it possibly might make those "behind the scenes clericals" even more "out of touch ... out of mind"???

    Temporary sign

 Ha Ha ... so my use of the description noun-verb "gestapo" was a wee bit of an embellishment & maybe... heaven forbid ... a wee bit off the signage subject at hand! Sometimes I wonder though ... especially after a "top notch" lady wearing a "Veritas" sweatshirt in the laundry told me...

    Temporary sign

The temporary makes sense ... especially since here locally ... you never know when our "potential driving distraction" sign ordinance will be over zealously enforced in some illogical gestapo type of fashion!

    Thoughts on Ginsan Pump Stand?

FWIW ... I tend to squirm when "whatever manufacturer" goes into an unnecessary overly protective "proprietary" info stance. This especially applies to the laundromat side of my business. Based on experience ... so far I have not seen that with Dan Kamsickas & his team. Don't get me wrong ...

    Insurance Help

Having gone through several agencies in the last 15 years ... I am a bit appalled that the self service bays portion of my laundry, car n dog wash ... has always has had a much higher rate than my laundromat. Any thoughts ... possibly the number of claims data???

    Coccka in my Crypto

Not sure if this could be the cause of the debris issue ... but some insects can enter through the tiniest of gaps.

    VAC wiring

If you explain clearly enough to Butch or someone similar at Imonex your exact coin mech ... I am pretty sure he will be helpful. Based on the pic ... I would say you definitely want to have the timer relay energize the mercury relay otherwise your timer relay probably won't last as long as...

    VAC wiring

Just to add to what Randy said & what he has previously recommended: Using a mercury relay for the specific heavy amperage generated by the VAC motors has proven to be the best ... especially for the long term! BTW ... Imonex has improved their coin mechs ... based on our recent choice on our...

    Blow down or weep?

I only use my boat bilge pump during the summer (available during the winter time); so ideally that will have enough lift ... that would be the easiest if it tests OK to do the job. My general manager was thinking that the use of a venturi in a tee fitting could even make sense. It would start...

    Blow down or weep?

Thanks Randy, If we find the time ... I think a future project could be to figure out a way to specifically include the tire/motor & presoak with the high pressure for our partially enclosed front bays so that the specific -22 windshield wiper fluid can receive without interconnection...

    Freaking masks

In our area there is currently almost no use of masks except where mandated by a corporate or gov't entity. I have had some incidents in our laundromat that point towards a person coming in with a mask on with other motives such as 1. Harder for a cam to identify them later for a wrong doing...

    Blow down or weep?

Up north like where I am ... car wash bays tend to have overhead doors on both end which makes recovery after extreme low temps more possible. Blow out with antifreeze is smart ... but even without 100% blow out ... at least a partial blow out will make it so fittings are less likely to burst...

pex plastic tubing for carwash use

I could be wrong ... but it seems like the specific UV light resistant of the specific PEX tubing could be a factor. I have memories of some tubing becoming cracker-crumbly brittle in the past.

    City shutting me down

Mac & others, I was shocked when I shared with a sometimes local car wash installer-maintainer person ... recently related something to me. When I told him about when I recently firmly steered the contractor & gang of engineers responsible for our street's "recently replaced water mains" (last...
