Anyone else feeling the sting of the economy

Dan, for whatever reason there has never been a large laudromat presence on this forum. There are a few forums on Facebook that are geared specifically to Laundry where you may get a better perspective for that part of your business.

Anyone else feeling the sting of the economy

Dan, are you down compared to your own numbers from last year or from numbers given to you by the previous owner? I don't know anything about laundromats but the car wash business is definitely seasonal depending on where you're located. We're in Ohio and for as long as I can remember, August...

Programming Laserwash M5 undercarriage after presoaks

Hopefully next month we will be re-installing two PDQ M5's that were removed last year from one of our busy sites into one of our other locations. I want to run the underbody while the car is soaking after the two presoak passes like we do in our Razor and Petit washes. It's been too long...

Advice on an offer to buy carwash

If he’s not actively selling, tell the realtor to get a letter of intent from the people with an offer. Otherwise they’re just wasting his time. I’d also tell the realtor his fees and commissions would be paid by the buyer.

Bill changer conversion to $1 coins

I thought about accepting bills in our bays for about a half a second. Bay/vacuum bill acceptors are not a viable option in any urban location!

    Nayax with ACW5?

CWS, what happens on the ACW/Nayax if the customer swipes or taps their card first then chooses a wash?

    Wash World Timeline

I'm not sure if a profile install is more or less difficult than an install for a razor, but for reference purposes, our distributor removed an oasis Typhoon and re-installed a Razor in one week. Removing an existing machine takes half a day to one day at most. We re-used all the back room...

Bill changer conversion to $1 coins

When the gold dollar coins were introduced in 2000 or so we switched to them. It was a no brainer. However, around 2004 when the boxes of dollar coins were no longer coming from the mint and started being supplied by the bank or brinks etc we started having issues. Each box has 1000 coins in...

Trying hard to Increase CCard usage! Make it Easier and Faster for both Parties..

Kimberly, could explain the costs associated with Coinless? Not really worried about the hardware or install cost, but the fees and monthly recurring costs. I've checked their website but don't see them listed and am not interested in getting on their mailing list yet. Thanks.

    In Bay lighting

We’ve been using these with good luck. I buy the 100w but they make a 75, 40, and 25w. https://greenlightdepot.com/collections/led-canopy-lights/products/led-canopy-light-100w-outdoor-parking-garage-light-ul-dlc-listed?variant=11715844407339

    Pdq laser 4000 roller replacement

Just an FYI...when I rebuilt two 4000 bridges to do a bridge swap I ordered a bunch of rollers from Kleen-Rite. I still have them in a bucket because they did not fit. Its been too long for me to remember which dimension was incorrect. Maybe I was lucky enough to get a bad run?

    Fragrance for Pre Soak passes

ROZ, I don't think you want to try to use straight fragrance concentrate but rather a neutral pH scented foamer. Ver-Tech labs Burst line or Quest's Make Scents line would probably work well for you. I actually use these type of products as my HP self serve soap because they foam well and...

What to do, what to do....

Believe it or not, we still run 5 of those Southern Pride Turbos. You can upgrade them a little bit, add signs, lights etc., re-do that ACW with Cryptopay/Tap-n-pay and make money. Our average ticket with those is over $12 and you won’t have a massive investment to worry about. If it really...

What to do, what to do....

Regarding doors, either get an Airlift (or similiar) or don't get them. If you're referring to Sliding verical strips like a freezer door, you're going to gain all the headaches of a door without all the benefits. New is nice but if this an unproven site , refurbished may be the way to go. A...

    Wash select Cryptopay issue

Well, no button on the swiper. It may require a tech to set it up as a Wash Select swiper which would be fine if there was Saturday tech support. Why it wouldn’t be a drop down menu selection on the configuration page I have no idea. I’ll have to look Monday when that one was installed, but I’m...

    Wash select Cryptopay issue

Having an issue with one of my units. The one bay is about 50-50 for bad card swipes, including cryptotap. My initial thoughts were there is an issue with the swiper. I grabbed my spare off the shelf, installed it and when configuring it there is no option for Auto. Am I doing something...

    Bankruptcy

Have had it in since November. New machine without any issues thus far and haven't really needed any distributor service. We do our own maintenance. Doesn't clean any better than our 19 year old Laserwash 4000 machines and may actually have less 'impact' than they do, at least it seems like it.

    Bankruptcy

If I may be so nosy, how old are you? What makes you think that they would lease out a portion of an abandoned gas station? Wouldn't that make the property that much harder to sell? Have you called the number on the commercial property for sale sign? How much are they asking? I would love...

Looks great! “PLEASE PLACE CAR IN PARK DAMMIT!”:ROFLMAO: Did you remove your WS keypad to mount your Tap-n-Pay? How do you issue refunds?

Greasing Washworld Razor - why? Are we still living in the 1950's?

Yes greasing PITA but you're making it worse doing it every week! We have some LW4000's that are busy and there is no way I grease any more often than once a month. The new Razor we have, like mentioned above, is every 10,000 cycles...thats probably a few thousand cars worth. I could only be...
