    Cryptopay discrepancy

Just rewatched video of his wash. The customer that pulled into the bay after him did in fact press the stop button 12 minutes after he swiped his car, hence the $12 charge as we are $1/minute. WTF!? Just went back to the Worldpay terminal and searched that Transaction ID again...now...

    Cryptopay discrepancy

Our minimum is $4 and maximum is $15 with a $10 authorization. The transaction was from back in February so it wouldn’t (shouldn’t) be the authorization as he already got his statement. The guy did only wash for about four minutes and then turned the dial to off. Believe it or not, it looked...

    Cryptopay discrepancy

Had a customer email me because he was charged $12 when he thought he should only be charged $4 for his self-serve wash. After looking at video it looked as though he didn’t press the stop button. Went onto my Cryptopay dashboard and found his $12 charge, got the transaction ID, went to the...

Article on Showing How the Enticing War on Cash Ends!!!

Mike, what the heck are you talking about? I never seem to be able to decipher your posts and I haven't even had a beer yet. Maybe that's my problem!

    Cryptopay is TRASH

It depends on the customer, but another reason I do try to refund the card if possible is so that I dont send them a check and then have them dispute the charge as well. Obviously that wouldn't be cool on the customers part but good luck challenging the dispute.

    Buying existing car wash questions

I'm still stuck on the fact that it's a 3 bay self-serve and he wants $600k? I get that the dirt might be worth more than I am accustomed to, but the dirt the dirt doesn't generate any monthly income. This would need to be one of the busiest 3 bay self serves I've ever seen.

    Foam Brush Hose

That’s what we’re using. I recently tried some uber flex hose from KR and that was a huge mistake! Expensive and kinked almost immediately. Lots of freeze ups, had to replace within a week. Also tried a hose from National Pride but the bend restrictors they use are a harder rubber (more like...

Everything you just typed is correct. If you can get logged in…you’ve won the battle. Every time I’m successful I feel like I’ve won the lottery.

    Cordless Dremel recommendation

Trust me, my go to tool is a Metabo Hi speed grinder with a cut off wheel. I also have a cordless Ryobi grinder thats been pretty helpful as well. The problem with those is that you can't always get a 4" cut off wheel where you need it. For example, last week the yellow plastic knob in one of...

    Cordless Dremel recommendation

We have one corded dremel that has proved itself numerous times for things only a dremel can do. Because of Murphy's law and having multiple locations the dremel is never at the wash where it is needed. I'd like to buy another to keep in my truck and was thinking a cordless/rechargeable one...

Thoughts on check valves at the booms

MEP I'm not following your logic on the burst of EC when they select Spot Free. I understand the 'trapped psi' you're referring to but I don't see how any one of those configurations will be better or worse in that regard. Going from rinse, wax or whatever to SF will essentially provide 2...

Thoughts on check valves at the booms

If you think about, it probably doesn’t make a difference. All of my automatics are similar to your 2nd and 3rd set up and all foam fine. Some have foamers afterwards but a lot of mine don’t. I would build it whichever way is easier.

Thoughts on check valves at the booms

MEP have you ever verified your concerns between setup one and two regarding the aid in foaming? Maybe try one of each set up in side by side bays and see if there is any less foam in set up two. I'm with you, but it may be one of those things where it actually has little to no benefit like...

    My passes make sense?

Wow man….get some rest and have a beer. Annoying?! I thought I the car hit you or something. That’s an everyday occurrence in the self serve business. You better get used to it

I must have missed something? What’s the deal with the video? How does that have anything to do with automatic programming🤔

Hamilton Goldline Stolen need some assistance.

Thanks MEP. Randy, thank you. That’s what’s on my shelf as a spare. Sounds like I just need the harness and mounting bracket from Hamilton. As a sidenote, this Goldline has the keypad. I’ve never had a Hamilton with a keypad before. I looked through my old Goldline manual and have gone to...

Hamilton Goldline Stolen need some assistance.

Last Thursday two A-holes decided it would a good idea to steal my Goldline during our busy season. I have two spare Wash Selects but decided to stick with the Goldline as I think the cabinet/door is a lot beefier and harder to damage. This ACW is in a tough neighborhood and hidden from the...

    Anyone use Hydraflex Evo?

I don't know if that's your issue or not, but I can't think of any downsides really to having a solenoid kill the air to the pump when not in use. A plus to using an air solenoid is that if one of your bay solenoids gets some trash in it or doesn't close 100% for whatever reason, you don't pump...

    Anyone use Hydraflex Evo?

I wish I could offer some suggestions but like I said, I've had very few issues. One question regarding your setup though, are your flojets under constant pressure or is there a solenoid killing the air to the pump? All of mine have an air solenoid for the pump.
