    Bay 3 trifoam wasn't working

I probably would have left the gasket off the lid if I had ever been in the box before. At least then the water would have run out.

    Kleen Pac Hyper Concentrates

I didn't know about the smaller jug hyper concentrates. My comments were about the ultra. The "detergents" aren't detergents, just foam concentrates with color and fragrance.

    Bay 3 trifoam wasn't working

Never bring your wires in through the top of an electrical box in a car wash: The butt splices are a temporary repair until I can relocate the box where it can be accessed more easily, terminate the wires from the bays there, run new wires to the pump stands (They currently run through this...

    Water meter size

You could, but you might end up pulling everything else down even more. You might consider a good sized tank for the dog wash and a well pump to draw from that.

    Kleen Pac Hyper Concentrates

Yes, he was using Purple Passion. It completely plugged the screen, and after I cleaned it it stank as it came from the wand until the new stuff cleared the lines. A lot of chemicals will do this, but a presoak shouldn't. The orange and vanilla bay soaps have no detergents in them at all.

    Kleen Pac Hyper Concentrates

I haven't tried them, but I can always tell when someone is using them. They don't clean well. The Purple Passion presoak will bead up on my dirty windows. They're pretty bad about separating and growing gunk in the mixing tanks.

    Triple foam

Assuming you're running separate tubing for liquid and air, 1/4" is really enough for 50' or so, but my wash has the room on one end so the longest runs are about 125' and only the farthest two bays don't get quite enough liquid. I use 3/8" OD mainly for consistency. I use a 2540 tip, that...

    Credit Card Acceptance

Yeah, someone may be tempted to go in there and mess with wires to get a free wash. Some sort of security head screw would probably work as long as it's not something commonly available. Pin-in-hex and pin-in-Torx are not good choices in my experience.

    RO Regulator

I'm not sure if this is exactly what they came with, but it should work and mount the same. You'll have to check and see if the ports match. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-3205-spraying-systems-1-2-8460-diaphragm-pressure-regulating-valve.aspx

    What are these?

I forgot about how weird that D&S stand is. Most washes keep hot water in the tank and supply cold for the pump from a solenoid. When I worked for a distributor we installed one and connected the water lines that way. We figured out pretty quickly that the tank holds cold and the solenoids...

Cat 310 Not letting soap in

Do you have both hot and cold water plumbed to the pump? Have you tried throttling the water supply to the pump to help it draw soap?

Cat 310 Not letting soap in

Did you check if the solenoid is getting power and opening?

Cat 310 Not letting soap in

And with the trigger tied pulled. Do this on rinse first, since it doesn't look like you have a separate cold water feed for it. If you adjust the feed valve on soap, then the pump won't get enough flow on rinse and cavitation will destroy it. Is the pump running fine with soap selected or...

    Water meter size

What is your water pressure? Pipe size is meaningless without knowing how much pressure is behind a 1" pipe with everything running. I've dealt with a 5-bay SS on a 1 1/2" main that had to add a booster pump.

which is better belt or direct

I didn't consider the Lovejoy coupler option, the C-face motors are still more expensive but they aren't nearly as high as hollow shaft motors or as hard to couple/decouple. I still don't see any pro to them other than a little space savings.

High Pressure to Low Pressure Switchover Time

Add another two stacks of solenoids, tee them together in the room and run one 1/4" line to the bay. Actually, I'd run a 3/8" line for the presoak liquid and use the existing 1/4" for the air. Combine the three lines at a cross just before one check valve. The air will accomplish several...

which is better belt or direct

The only pro is saving space, and it's not much, none at all if you aren't replacing the stand to take advantage of that saved space. There are lots of cons, things are harder to work on, both the motors and the pumps are more expensive, and sometimes the pumps have shorter lives because...

Why my triple foam not getting foaming?

Look to see if you didn't shove too much of the Hydrominder pickup hose into the pail where the foot valve has snaked up above the liquid.

Engineered a new triple foam controller

I would not run a dead-headed Flojet on a triple foam system with the solenoids controlling flow to the inlet of the pump. There's a risk of a leak at the pump outlet causing the Flojet to run super fast with no liquid to the inlet and possibly causing the compressor to overheat from running...
