    Problem with 573 Hydrominder

Hmmm. I use a Raypak boiler and the temp fluctuates, but I'm sure that it goes above 110. Probably around 120. That might be the issue. Are you sure the limit is 110? I can't seem to fine it on the literature. Diamond, how does that work exactly? Looks like it just screws onto the water...

    Problem with 573 Hydrominder

When the float is down, it is all the way down with no more room to go down. One of my first thoughts was that the new floats were not heavy enough, so I replaced it with the old float that had been working for years. I also checked to see if it was lever as I thought that maybe it was somehow...

    Problem with 573 Hydrominder

I have hydrominders all over the place. They all work as intended and occasionally I will have to change a part, but the problem is usually obvious. On this 573, I just can't find any reason for it to behave the way it is.

    Problem with 573 Hydrominder

It worked flawlessly for over 3 years, so it can work fine. I don't mind repairing it if if eventually fails, but having a constant issue and not being able to figure out the problem is something else. I spoke to hydrominder and they didn't really have any suggestions either.

    Problem with 573 Hydrominder

I am having an issue with the 573 hydrominder in my JC super saver water tank. A couple of months ago, it quit filling. I figured out that I had to replace a main part, so I ended up just buying a new one since the price wasn't much more. It worked fine when I first installed it, but then the...

    Another JC Shampoo/Vac issue

One one of shampoo vacs, when you put in money and select shampoo, you hear a click (probably solenoid) but the compressor and shampoo motor don't come on. If you push in the manual over ride in each relay, both work, so there is nothing wrong with either the compressor or shampoo motor. I...

Jim Coleman Combo Vac Issue -

I have previously tried replacing both bill acceptor and cc swiper with no luck. Both also work fine in other vacs. The only thing I haven't tried was replacing all of the wiring. I have gone over all of it and it looks fine, but you never know.

Jim Coleman Combo Vac Issue -

I measured the voltage as you suggested and didn't see any large fluctuations. Voltage was at 27.2 off, and dropped to 25.8 when on. this was the same across all vacuums. Voltage was steady when other vacs were turned on.

Jim Coleman Combo Vac Issue -

I will try that. Just test the 24 volts coming out of the transformer?

Jim Coleman Combo Vac Issue -

Thanks for your response, but what is occurring pretty much defies logic. The coin acceptor, bill acceptor and cc reader all have the coin signal wires tied together along with the coin signal from the timer. They all work initially, then after a few hours up to a day or two, the bill...

Jim Coleman Combo Vac Issue -

I wanted to update as I have another issue that crept up on two different shampoo vacs. The 1034S timer will get stuck on the word "vac" and then won't do anything unless it's reset. Since it's stuck, any money put in is not credited. I have tried switching the timer with another vacuum and...

Jim Coleman Combo Vac Issue -

I have 2 JC combo vacs that are giving me fits. At first the bill acceptor stopped working. I would take the dollar bill, but the timer wasn't turning on. Using coins or the cryptopay cc worked fine. If you reset the breaker, it would work completely fine for a few hours or 1/2 days, then...

Softgloss problem - Top brush coming down on fronts

You have a defective mac valve. Same thing happened to me a few months ago. I can't remember exactly which valve it wash, but I thing it was labeled something front arms. I did get it wrong at first and had to switch 2-3 before I got the right one. Once you change one, just save the mac...

    Would You Pay This Bill?

I can't believe you are even considering paying it! You have zero responsibility in this matter and have already wasted your time dealing with it. I would just tell him that you are done discussing it and that he can take you to court if he feels he was wronged. Sad that it's your neighbor...

    Foam brush Antifreeze??

I used the KR pre mix last year and it worked well as long as I kept up with it. Had to drain the lines and change the tip when it got too cold, then back to the smaller tip when it above freezing. Took some work, but for the most part people were able to use the foam brush in the winter.

    used friction machine

I have a soft gloss and it works great. But to be honest, I really like the open bay of the Freestyler and would switch to that if I had the chance. I don't know about reliability though, so you would need opinions on that. The soft gloss has been pretty reliable and easy to work on.

    Nayax C/C for car wash?

I've had to replace my nayax cc reader at least 3 times so far since I've had it. I think it's been 2 years now. The last time, they sent me one that is supposed to be more weather resistant and so far it's been holding up for about 6 months. Support is great and it's easy to get someone on...

    Cryptopaty paperless bills

I signed up for paperless from day one. You can retrieve and statements online, so why pay $9.95 to get one in the mail? There are no other fees, just a savings.

Yelp: Friend or foe... or something else?

Just watched the South Park episode, it was great. A lot of truth in it. It affects some businesses more than others, but I don't think it matters much to us in the car wash business. For restaurants, it does.

Credit and debit card start up charge

On another note, I do get 3-4 calls a month from people that check their bank statement instantly and ask why they were charged $10 I explain it's a pre-auth and they are fine. I have my vacs set at $2.50 per swipe, can't add time. Swipe again if you need more time. No complaints. I do have...
