A wash should most definitely force water in areas that rain does not. It just seems to me that your wash would have this smell and it would be rather pervasive in the wash if you are noticing after the fact on the car.

There are also Inkfish brushes. I never tried them, but it is another alternative.

If you like customers having a target, you can keep the treadle steel, but use photo eyes to actuate the wash instead of the mechanical switch.

That is odd. Do you smell the foul smell anywhere in the wash or is it only on the car itself? Are you getting a good rinse? Maybe residual wash water that has not been flushed out of the various drainage tracts around the bottom of the windshield where the wipers rest, or in the door...

When I park in my garage after I go through my tunnel, I get the scent of my final sealer or drying agent that is applied. What scent are you getting after your wash?

Could be a very early N/S design that I have never seen before. They have a pretty high presence in the drive through/dealership market. Not sure they ever used hydraulic motors though. My bet is still a home made/ very small manufacturer.

It wasn’t uncommon in the 1970’s and 1980’s to find some small, regional manufacturers that pretty much made “homemade “ equipment. This looks like it might be from that era and could be a one of very few machines from a small, never really heard of company.

They are not currently listed on eBay. They were sold a while back. They are not on the car wash consignment site. It really doesn’t matter- they are no longer available anyway.

Several have come up for sale used - I have seen them online. They will definitely not be as prominent as the washworlds, PDQ etc. because they do not have the volume of machines out yet that the other manufacturers have.

One last thought - if it is condensation on your blowers. Are your blower housings and ducts plastic or metal? I would think your chances of getting condensation would be greater with metal, and also pose a bigger chance of generating some type of sediment when condensation forms on the...

I understand what you are saying, and yes, you can get similar results with fewer products. No impact on throughput for me though , as I have a tunnel. I do, however, think that in a tiered menu system, it is easier for customers to opt for a higher priced package when they see the offerings...

Both posts above have all great points. Also - how long is this lease for? Can the owner break it at a specified time? Like was already said, you could potentially be paying for the rehab of someone else’s wash.
