He is not my salesman - just a rep I speak to - there is no payment or sales involved with him. Also, he did not tell me to layer it - he said if I am using both, put the ceramic on first and the graphene second.
I asked a Simoniz rep that exact question before incorporating it in my wash and he said to do the ceramic first and then the graphene. I don’t know- maybe it is dependent on the brand?
I started using Graphene in my tunnel and it is definitely a keeper. I started by putting it on my top package at no extra charge for a month. I didn’t advertise it or charge for it - no signs, lights, arches, etc. it was applied without any notice right after the ceramic sealant. Customers...
I agree that your prices are very low, but you are also behind on your product offerings. No Rain X, Hot Wax, Ceramic or Graphene. I’m not saying you need all of them, but if your current top “protection “ chemical is a drying agent, your chemistry can be updated quite a bit. I’m not...
I favor three, but only when you are not offering a bargain basement “soap and water only” basic wash. The economy wash is fine as a bottom package if you have four washes and are keeping the purchase of that package to down around 10% of your customers. If you go with three, I would not make...
With underspray, wheel and tire cleaner, extra presoak, spot free rinse, trifoam, bug prep, salt remover, rain repellent, hot wax, ceramic and graphene (I’m sure I missed a few) it’s really easy to build out four packages! 😂
Even if all the numbers looked good, I’d shy away from the “rough part” of anywhere. There are plenty of operators who have washes in rougher neighborhoods, but if you are just starting out and will be doing this for a while, that is probably not where you want to begin your journey into this...
I think it is good to have premium chemicals in the ss bays. Self serve customers want and deserve the chance to have a high quality wash, just as if they were using and IBA or tunnel- the difference is that they don’t mind supplying the labor. Something like Simoniz Ceramic Sealant has a...
I’d call Simoniz with your lot number and see if they had a problem with that batch. They might at least sent you a 5 gal replacement and then you could see if it is the chemical itself or perhaps something in your chemistry.
I hear what you are saying ShinePro but I think a lot of Ceramics and Graphene products do have MSO in them anyway. Simoniz Ceramic does not, but Carbonite - their graphene does. Chemquest Silk does not, but Zenith does. The JBS ceramics are all MSO based, as well as Warsaw, Turtle Wax, CSI...
