Jason & others,
When a component with the photo eye system fails ... does it mean that the specific ovd door fails to open 100% &/or does the specific ovd door fail to close 100%?
Jason & others,
In the past I remember seeing self serves in Grand Forks making sure that the entrance was also the exit ... drive in forward drive out backwards ... to address the wind tunnel effect.
So even in the summertime you allow the customers to close either or both doors???

Jason,
I get the need to use ovd doors ... we have had ovd doors on our self service only wash since 1968. We have always made sure that our doors are easy to lift manually. I was not aware that it was that common for self service to have automatically opening doors. When they drive up ...
I thought automatic ovd door openers with photo eyes were mostly just the domain of the non self serve bays??? I see Jason has been around since 2008 so maybe I am the one who is behind the times in terms of the ultimate level for self service customer pampering???
We have encapsulated door...
Just to add: We do have customers during extremely cold days who start with our rinse which is not heated. They have said the water initially freezes on the surface & grumble about it. I say they have to be careful what they wish for .... just thinking there could be some windshields might...
Just to add to Earl's post. I like the separate box also for servicing in case a simple ratty wet bill gets stuck in the validator. In that case ... the person in the bay can wash via dollar coins inserted while just unplug the molex & cycle or whatever easy repair needed. All the while no...
Randy & others,
I wonder how common these backflow preventers are for car washes from a local code standpoint? Before a local engineer specified a Watts 800 for us during a 1987 update ..... a local inspector had told us our previous car wash set up met code because we had an air gap on our...
Each area has its own unique well water considerations & nuances it seems. In our closeby rural ... there is some debate among rural residents about coughing up large sums both initially & ongoing of $$$ for hookup from the city's water plant. The following article is from 2012 ... but still...
I just checked again on the postcard in front of me & it is definitely PRESDAY2020M. I remember sharing a postcard one before & Earl said it did not work. That is what I was going by. Unique code ... something to consider ... that matches whoever???
Greg & others,
If I am delusional in my...
Earl & Msaxonii,
I have played with some of that extending of wifi. I found the most information from RV camper & RV parks related suppliers. The antenna fittings can get a bit tricky to mate ... if memory serves me right.
As far as the above 30% post by me ... I appears to be limited to what can be filtered & routed from the below Zoro link ... not sure since that is the first time I have used Zoro Select.
https://www.zoro.com/b/ZORO+SELECT/
There are still some 20% though. My postcard says PRESDAY2020m with...
Is there a reason other than the cost difference to not use this stainless steel one from KR? It just seems like there may be enough gain going with stainless long term wise...
On the below link you will see 30% off on $100 of ZORO SELECT. That seems to mean it is limited to just their Zoro Select items which is a huge number of items. I found some 100% stainless steel (300 grade) T clamps ... they had the idealtriton.com manufacturer # so I verified the specs a bit...
I wonder how many of us have UPS &/or Fedex accounts? I am glad that conscientious lady UPS driver about 17 years ago talked me into setting up a UPS acct way back then. There have been a few times where we have saved by having it billed to our account. Then for sure potential extra charges...
I was not necessarily referring to the one (over 8 years now) we have in our laundromat ... just that for many customers any close enough by ATM might make the difference of customers being able to use KleanRides cash option vs driving away without cash. ATMs can be set up with various backup...
I might go with the better 100% stainless marine stronger T clamps that I linked too to make the elbows even more fail safe. Thanks for putting our minds at ease ... I was just getting ready to order the much more expensive SS elbows from KR.
Has anyone found a rotating style of the jetter nozzle that stayed intact even after a few uses??? I had high hopes for the rotating style but was disappointed when they did not last. I am pretty sure the rotating nozzles are more effective than the fixed style of nozzles ... if we can find...
Anybody try some multi-lens IP cameras? For some of us it might be a good fit especially if the price-value is competitive enough. I just got an email on this one:
