Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

The discussion about vac motor fuse protection has me thinking a bit. It would be nice if when we walk by a vacuum we could at a glance see if a motor is no longer working. I have had plenty of situations where the breaker did not blow when one of the two motors blew. Hopefully, a customer...

Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

The motor contact is protected by a different part of the circuit than the electronics part that is triggering the coil. No amps or spark on the coil ... BTW a % of us also even have a different voltage going to the possible specific mercury relay's 24VAC coil. The other factor that is the...

    FWIW Cashless Concern Shared

Sequoia you make some good points. My dad ... while he was on this earth .... was a lifetime peace officer assn member ... & he would be the first to tell you that law enforcement & their supervisors' motivations can be sometimes very destructive. There can be even more at stake ... especially...

Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

When designing component protection sometimes we prefer to have several fuses ... so each tailored correctly amp fuse can save the day from time to time isolating sections of the overall sometime very intricate equipment.

    FWIW Cashless Concern Shared

Just sharing what a recently retired very long term politically savvy NYC laundromat operator recently linked to within one of his normally extremely good enlightening posts. I personally agree with the writer of the reason.com article that people everywhere should be concerned about all parts...

    FWIW Cashless Concern Shared

Below was a link that one of my laundromat forum friends shared that at some point could be a "not so pleasant wake up call" here in the USA. https://reason.com/2019/07/02/hong-kong-protests-show-dangers-of-a-cashless-society/

Diskin Air Shamee II Boom Recomendation

I have a similar concern as Earl but mainly ... my question would be: Would the rubber elbow buckle & kink the same or maybe worse than the 2" vacuum style hose? Rudy ... can you hurry up & be our guinea pig as long as you suggested it? A solution for kinking would be a thin stainless tight...

FLOJET G57 pump with Parker check valve

Not sure if any car wash supplier still has these but it is rare that these have gone out on us: https://www.swagelok.com/en/catalog/Product/Detail?part=SS-4CPA2-3

Diskin Air Shamee II Boom Recomendation

I see ... I found on KR what appears to be the mentioned Diskin 3 phase motor sold separately: https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-56458-air-shammee-ss2motor-super-motor-blower-only.aspx Does this single motor by itself ... really have 50% more power over the blow dry systems using two of the...

Diskin Air Shamee II Boom Recomendation

Rudy, That could turn out to be a good idea. If we use your approach vs the Mosmatic 90° ... we will use much stronger all stainless steel T clamps. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H9J8VQR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Diskin Air Shamee II Boom Recomendation

It sounds like some have cherry picked some parts of their Air Shammee. I have read on this forum that Diskin's "only one needed" three phase motor has some advantages??? It would be nice to see a bit more long term pro & con on that specific option of motor arrangement now that hopefully...

What function should I add to my bays?

docopp (Ed) & other Blasto-Dry Users, It sounds like maybe I had far too many concerns about the possible extra learning curve of the Blasto-Dry Wand for the end customers??? Maybe personally should have done more testing of the various blo-dry wand brands to see which actually dry the vehicle...

Husky vs Harbor Freight small compressor comparison

This is possibly a helpful discussion for some of us. I just want to add that it would be nice for some of us to use a decibel meter & share the actual noise level rather than what sometimes the specifications say. To keep it consistent ... maybe exactly 5 feet away from motor-pulley cage...

I promise ... FWIW ... I will follow Kentucky's Rand Paul's lead to not reveal your actual name because of your car wash forum protected whistleblower status.

    KR- Excessive Shipping Charges

I am thinking some of you had been getting by without paying sales tax on "out of state" purchase until recently. Not that I begrudged others ... We were forced to pay the same amount of sales tax in the form of "used tax" from all out of state purchases including previous from KR since about...

    Mixed denomination Bill Counter

That certainly held true for our "local area network connected Cummins COIN Counter" ... we were definitely money ahead bypassing a service contract in that situation .... especially considering over 16 years later of being able to deal with all of the very minor issues "in house"!

    Mixed denomination Bill Counter

FWIW ... the local Cummins Rep who sold us our serial port connected Cummins 2000 coin counter without a service contract back in 2002 told me the following: When I told him that I was interested in buying a Cummins Bill sorter counter in 2011 ... he told me he would sell a brand new one to me...

    Micro Coin QL

    Bad reviews

Mac & others, Persons who lie & mislead cleverly vs the ones that lie & mislead dumbo way??? The deceptive clever ones are the ones you have to watch out for the most IMHO. For example ... I had a 1 star review from someone who wrote ... quote "the place should be burnt down". Our building...

    KR- Excessive Shipping Charges

I have seen surprise "handling charges" ... one time the supplier actually allowed me to let them use my UPS account & person actually admitted that would eliminate the handling charge. I never did pay attention to zones much ... but if it is sent to the farthest zone ... it might affect the...
