Crypto pay ..... Count up or down ?

I.B., On our PLC touchscreen dog wash the huge numbers that pop up on the screen counting down from 60 to zero seconds along with its within proximity grace period "minimum amount temporarily not needed" sign ... seems to have worked well for over 9 years now. It is more customer friendly than...

Crypto pay ..... Count up or down ?

My thoughts also. It is possible that Dixmor's firmware sometime in the future could address that ... albeit infrequent chance ... consideration. It is surprising how a brilliant programmer can make something a "100% no issue" just with the resource within their existing device. I know...

    Need Standard Changer Part

I could be wrong but it seems like some previous versions of Standard Changemakers used the same basic cabinet. Remounting your still good components might be with minimal modifications. That more likely opens the door to possibly a used Ebay or other online auction "used" good buy. You might...

    Self Wash Bay Systems

Blue Wave & others, All of the above from the experienced operators ... make some good points. I would just add that we have never regretted having had the ability for about 25 years via a few quick disconnects both electrical & hose wise to switch over in the event a pump & its accessories...

Crypto pay ..... Count up or down ?

At this point until we get that specific answer ... I honestly think that the scenario of coins inserted before CC is up ... could become a lost money call from a customer from a less attended place than ours is. It might even be a factor for deciding to or to not go the credit card option...

Crypto pay ..... Count up or down ?

So as the time counts up ... what would happen if a customer started to us the credit card then before he stopped the charge ... he decided to get rid of his quarters & put them in while the timing upwards was activated by Cryptopay??? How would the Dixmor 7 deal with it. Would it be smart...

    IP Cameras and NVR trouble

Pgrzes, GoBuckeyes & others, Anybody besides myself use Blueiris Software (somewhat opensource?) that will also always allow connect to phones with their phone app for both Android & IOS??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2XQGPdKt2M&app=desktop I may stay with that approach if I have too...

Crypto pay ..... Count up or down ?

JoshsWashes & others, Very few of the Cryptopay-Dixmor 7s combos on self service bays coin boxes have CC as the only option. So... the car wash customer puts in a $5 bill ... does it count up or ...count down like those of us who have no CC acceptance? So as the time counts up or down ...

Crypto pay ..... Count up or down ?

So just to clarify for some of us used to our Dixmor 7s counting down from the paid for time shutting off on zero time left. On count up, if a customer puts in a $5 bill the Dixmor 7s start at zero time, counts up & then the Dixmor stops immediately when it reaches the paid for time??? Then...

    IP Cameras and NVR trouble

GoBuckeyes, You might want to call your ISP. I called mine on Sunday & the tech support said he could see 36 disconnects. Yesterday they sent someone down to check on noise with their cabling. It did some good possibly by the techie redoing some cable tv ends ends & told me to monitor the...

    WyzeCam Pan

Roz & others, We are just beginning to try the pan, zoom & tilt one in our laundromat. We used 3M VHB double backed tape to stick stiff plastic to the bottom of one of our three ceiling fans & bolted the camera base upside down onto the plastic. We know it will go an effective 360° with the...

car wash floor freezing up bad

Waxman, On our main boiler system ... we have a bunch of tiny air eliminators with an air valve on top with our system that mount on top of the highest possible pipes on a tee. They have a cap that we tighten down on them otherwise they leak. The good news is that once the air is out of the...

does anyone have weekly credit card settlments/batching ?

Celica, I watch how the minority do it in the laundromat industry & it seems like longer the batch period that there are some kinds of more risks involved ... not sure exactly how that would increase whatever risks ... I forget what the technicality was that someone brought out some time ago...

    KR- Excessive Shipping Charges

I have had sellers with high freight charges sometimes tell me that I can put my UPS shipping account number in the comments & that way they will generate a label with my account & my rates apply. I have seen savings here & there a bit by doing that. I don't see how because I don't generate...

car wash floor freezing up bad

Piperken, I agree with all of the above responses ... except for that I would be somewhat cautious about increasing pressure too much. My gauge has always shown zero for the snow-ice melt system that we put in that was originally engineered by Raypak-Herm Deal (Huron Valley Sales ... Detroit)...

    Depositing quarters

MEP001 & others, We need enough of us combined with laundromat owners & others to be allies & breathe down the "political elites' & the media's necks" enough so they fulfill their constitutional role in making it so the banks can't be too monopolistically abusive towards what is the best option...

    IMEG vrs Meg

We noticed that if a customer digs under his wheel well (trying to save money &/or impatient) with the wand-nozzle the VeeJet is less likely to plug. Ice by tires in a cold climate &/or a mud prone area might notice this more than other locations.

    Polymer Presoaks

Based on going back on the camera ... it showed the guy as if he was in kind of a daze going over & over his vehicle for 10 minutes with the sodium hydroxide chemical ... so it might have been partially the customers fault & possibly not just the detailer's product that was used. To be honest...

Some things I learned the first year operating a car wash

We have 30 gallon plastic trash drums tht we put in front of the bay during repair & when we are closed. It is rare that a customer drives around one or moves it to drive in. The drums are left over from when we would order car wash chemicals in 30 gallon drums.

What do you use to determine time spent on each function?

2Biz & others, We did something similar to that with our PLC driven 2 room dog wash. I had help with almost 100% of the PLC programming. It is reliable & does help to verify little things like a customer exaggerating the variance in water temp. I can look at the recent graph on the HMI...
