Windshield washer fluid or RV anti freeze?

dukeofsudes, Let see am I close to understanding this .... the Smartthings App from several phones ... if a compatible sensor was tripped ... the compatible phone with its Smartthings App could more than just receive a text or email ... it could even wake you up in the middle of the night if...

Windshield washer fluid or RV anti freeze?

dukeofsudes, Any words of advice on increasing the reliability of the connections since you seem to have had great success with SmartThings? Internet threads like the below? A similar attempt by me about 4 years ago with another remote internet solution has made me a bit on the cautious side...

What happens when your pits freeze?

We had a non deiced outside open bay at one time. I remember using a stock tank heater. While it worked ... the watts really added up & it did increase each month's electric bill more than one might think. I later on had a contractor put a roof on the bay back in 1979 which solved one problem...

How to inject antifreeze into lines?

A little tip in case no one noticed: If we blow out when temps are below 35° or so we put the wands in a bucket of hot water while blowing out. That way the nozzles do not freeze up during the blow out. The air for some reason whizzing along gradually gets lower than the outside temperature...

Weep check valve...no, not that one.

2Biz & others, I am still waiting for the day where some of us put our "brains together" & do a computer simulation showing every scenario of "tricky" flow issues. In other words showing within transparent hoses flow to & from all our combined components that happens normally & when a check...

    In bay heat recommendations

cityview & others, When my domestic water in our laundromat is not calling ... then its hot closed system140°- 160° boiler water goes to a Spirec Heat Exchanger that on one side is protected from freezing antifreeze solution. That solution is pumped to our three enclosed by overhead doors car...

    Self serves and pet washes

Debra & others. We have had our 2 room natural light Lexan clear walls & ceiling pet wash since about October 2009. Number wise ... indoor dogs are the primary visitors-clients. Of course their master-owners have something to say about that decision too. It is pretty rare to see a cat &/or a...

    Adding 2nd GoldLine paystation.....???

If the Cat5 or Cat6 in not used for ethernet ... any of the twisted pairs will work as good if not better than Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lesser quality twisted pair. Not meaning to cast doubts unnecessarily but if we did not have the ability to print out all transactions on our ATM...

    Compressor Pressure Switch leaking air

slash007, If possible ... I would take the check valve to a local air compressor seller ... I think you will find that some fittings are JIC flare etc. & they do need to match unless you (gulp) modify the copper tubing attaching to it.

    Compressor Pressure Switch leaking air

You may be able to match all the specs for the check valve in your town-city. Otherwise, what I did was google the exact part number from the parts breakdown of our compressor & a bunch came up via some kind of cross-referencing of the part number.

    Compressor Pressure Switch leaking air

Mep & the others are correct about the upper tank check valve. Just to add ... we had specific check valve start to go out on us much more frequently & one of my co-workers said that he was pretty sure that we weren't changing the large intake air filter on Ingersol Rand 2 stage often enough...

    Under carriage for SS Bay?

Sparkleclean, Our existing guns do weep but they are they are angled guns & not straight thru like the Hydrospray's & Suttner's. Looking a bit more ... I see that both the Hydrospray & the Suttner have both the non weep & weep versions available for their lance portion...

    Under carriage for SS Bay?

I wonder if anybody has ever improvised making the needed weep "notch" described in the following tech sheet on their workbench? I remember the days of the flying wands ... not a good thing. https://rm-suttner.com/freeze-stop-and-weep/?lang=fr

    Under carriage for SS Bay?

SparkleClean, Any thoughts about us improvising in some of the ways you suggested in your earlier posts with this: https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-55840-suttner-underbody-lance-with-non-weep-gun.aspx ??? Maybe not as sturdy as the Hydrospray's but it would give us something to worrk with...

New IDX X-12, shame on me

New IDX X-12, shame on me

The pulse length issue has come up relating to coin mech interfacing used in laundromats ... I am curious to know if any or how well the IDX's or other car wash coin mech brands allow for tweaking or choice of various pulse lengths? When I converted our Dryers to $1/qtr coin mechs back in about...

    LED street sign

Scrup Free, We had a good experience with this outfit http://lednsign.com/ after another company did not honor their warranty for the temperature sensor within our sign. Other than our choice of the original denying warranty seller we have no regrets. We have it on about 15 hours a day, 7...

Biggest Pet Peeves --- and solutions

Carl, We have been giving out Golden $1 coins since the year 2000 but it has been a mix of both quarters & $1 coins. Hopefully, we will be giving out close to 100% $1 coins within 6 months from our two 4 hopper Standard ChangeMakers for when the rest of our washing machines in the laundromat...

Chemical draw tubing is strange stuff

Our Dog-Pet Wash specific technology relies on injection for perfect draw from our shampoo etc canisters. It works except we have to be vigilant to make the tubing connections seal 100% replacing with the standard less cost plastic tubing brand new often enough & also with brand new john guest...

    Dumpster Divers' Character Profile, Please?!!

I remember there was "dumpster diver" in the middle of the day at our car wash a long time ago. A well intentioned "lady" police officer just happened to be driving by & stopped. She said to me that after talking to the young man ... that she did not want to discourage "recycling" ... I left...
