    SS bay won't shut off

soonermajic, On my stands I have a bypass function - switch for each bay. I am thinking you should maybe focus in on that ... that is if you have a bypass.

    You're a genius

Debra, Honest injun ... When I just saw this post the first thing that came into my mind was of when some of my laundromat customers both young & old were somewhat "curiosity peaked & inquisitive" as they would look at the different Presidents when they would see the coins that were spit out...

Direct Drive vs Belt Drive Bay equipment

Soapy, On the location with belt drives ... is it a single belt or 2 belts with 2 grooves on both the pulleys?. Mine are double grooved & it is very rare to have a problem caused from using belts. Not sure on direct drive since Terry Landeen from Specialty steered me away from those when new...

    What Happened?

Jackson, I remember in some of the earlier days of the forum ... William Pitzer had his challenges. You would think that the technology would be more mature ... but that is not always the case.

Same Part for another brand of Changer?

The standard strut NUT meets all specifications except the thickness of the changer nut for locking purposes is actually 1/2". The strut nut is 3/8" thick. It is possible we can make a standard strut nut work ... hopefully we will try one before it becomes a more urgent need. Randy, Since...

Same Part for another brand of Changer?

Here is what our friend Kris Kious from Standard just emailed me: Standard Changer Part #3N00104 - NUT,1"X1/2" SQUARE LOCK 1/2-1 selling price $6.43 I put the P/N in a kleenrite search & here is what came up: http://car-wash.kleen-ritecorp.com/search?w=3N00104 It also comes up via a...

Same Part for another brand of Changer?

Randy, LOL ... I was waiting for someone to call attention to the tiny minutia low risk price tag from Kleen-Rite. We will examine the locking channel area on the Standard version of the nut. I was pretty sure there is some consistency among the T-Locks even between brands. There is not an...

Same Part for another brand of Changer?

Thanks Mr. I.B. ... I am thinking we will possibly find one of those in the unorganized section of our overflow regular hardware items.

Same Part for another brand of Changer?

https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/showProduct.aspx?SEName=hamilton-changer-90-0335-12-13-square-crs-nut&ProductID=12132&ajaxcall=true The above SQUARE NUT for a Hamilton Changer for each of their locks could be the same one that Standard uses on their heavy duty SC series ChangeMaker fortress like...

    Need wide labeler

Jackson Hirsh has some nifty lamination pouches where you can make sealed labels of any size. We have found them to be so good we even invested in their high end laminator. Works best with color laser printer output which are really reasonable nowadays compared to the past.

Repacing Touchscreen 1.0 with Unitec Wash Select II

Here is a list or touchscreen replacement at Mouser.com??? http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=TOUCH+PANEL+SCREEN It woud be nice to know if any fear-less car wash operator has made a replacement generic touchscreen work on any touchscreen that went out. It seems like all the...

    Bay Booms

Thanks for the heads up on even the updated Zierdon's additional maintenance considering you have used both. We have the mosmatic - hydrospray z booms & when there are two people using more than one boom at the same time ... playing or whatever ... then & only then ... the hoses still can get...

Coin box that accepts coin, bills, c.c., phone apps like Apple Pay

I get my gasoline for my vehicle at Sam's Club & it sure appears like their pumps are already set up with the chip readers. Our facility's ATM has been reliably taking chip cards for enough time now ... the ATM distributor said that they are actually seeing opportunist liability claims on the...

Coin box that accepts coin, bills, c.c., phone apps like Apple Pay

Randy, On the E-Port does it require the equivalent of one verizon cell line monthly cost for every piece of equipment that it is on or does a 1 line create a network that can serve up to "how many readers"??? Just a thought ... when magnetic cards start to eventually get phased out ... it...

    Have to vent about IDX

IMHO IDX should realize the value of their coin mechs is much greater when not used in a car wash bay that of course has overspray affecting them. The IDXs I have on my 4 vacuums for several years now ... on my 3 high g force extractors for over 5 years.... in the 2 dog wash for over 7 years...

    Have to vent about IDX

Is Mike Oliver still with IDX? If so, is he taking any steps to try to make sure that the quality gets back to where it once was??? Did anybody see an IDX exhibit at the April 4-6 Car Wash Show???

    Scam Alert!!! - Dave Walker

When it comes to scams. Let's say an out of state advertiser calls ... you give out your CC to charge. A few weeks later you realize the ad copy is abominable & another advertiser on their supposedly SEO optimized for their advertisers website ... say they never heard of the company. The...

Self Serve Customers are driving me to drink

Just thinking out - loud ... I know that in itself can be dangerous :) ... I wonder how much extra grief some of us have by going 24/7 vs more restricted hours. We are 8AM to 10PM ... we still have many of the mind numbing experiences but I can't help to think that it is even tougher with the...

    Vending Air

The setup we have with our air pretty much follows Chaz. One thing about mine here ... we did go for a 100' retractable hose reel. If the customer does not start the retract process properly ... we walk by it often enough so it is super easy to let the internal spring do the work either way...
