    Floor heat question

Rudy, To add to your sensor on the pipe solution ... a service guy gave me some conductive paste to also put between the pipe & the sensor. Not sure how much it helps but he recommended doing that.

Experience with Air leak detection even check valve leakage devices?

The Eric & IBWashincars & others, https://megadepot.com/product/accutrak-vpe-ultrasonic-leak-detector-superior-signal I get it that soapy water (ha ha about where oh where at car wash), & just a moe basic closer to totally on top of stethoscope could make sense. But I am basing my thoughts on...

Compact Pressure Washer for Clean Up

MDrost & others, About19 years ago we set up hi pressure 3 way valves & added some extra 3 way double pole switches & status signal lights on our 6 bay panel. The end result was that we could route any or all of the pumps into an outside reel that has 75' of 1/2" hose on it. We sized the...

Replacement of Pump to Boom hoses

Has anyone had their stainless steel accidently freeze hard? I am thinking that a really bad freeze could enlarge the inner & outer diameter & even possibly expand & split the tubing open???

    Baldor Motor Problems

Mike, I have seen where the strength of the internal contact-make of a toggle switch caused problems. I am not saying it is the problem but it seems like one of the easier things to verify. It might be even easier to jumper the toggle switch wires with jumper wires while the breaker is off &...

    Baldor Motor Problems

Mike, Since it sounds like the toggle switch could be suspect, I would bypass the toggle switch & just turn it on & off via the its dedicated circuit breaker. Let us know how you come out on this.

Experience with Air leak detection even check valve leakage devices?

Dcalhoun & others, This shows one that is $333.20. Still spendy ... but if it saves time & even signals internal air leakage where air should not be ... maybe it could make sense. Not sure about how it could help catch bearing & seal wear as stated in the below's description...

Experience with Air leak detection even check valve leakage devices?

This & other similar devices seem like they could be useful in a car wash environment with our air compressors etc. Any experiences or thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQQJKkQ0UCg

    Floor heat question

Washman2016 & others, Something tells me you are on the right track in terms of not needing both too much at the same time of the day or night etc. Floor heat does retain its heat for a long time we notice so absolute continuous duty for it does not seem that critical. We have found that our...

About done with IDX coin mechs and tokens

I saved over 10 IDXs that I replaced with MicroCoinQLs that were in my car wash bays. They seem to be working great on my IDX-Dixmor combination upgrade on my vacs & for our 2 stall dog wash part of our business. I also am using the IDX core inserts on my two bar-countertop MegaTouch video...

    Floor heat question

Rick, 2 Biz's advice is good. Here is something that seems closer to what you are asking. Our use of two of the following: http://www.spirec.com/features.htm has been successful now since about 1990. In your case you probably would only need one. If you go the inline external heat exchanger...

Opinion on this vac motor from Kleen-Rite

I follow Eric H's reasoning for using efficient disciplined methodology & preventing vac going down unexpectedly for a customer. One thing I might add is that if an operator has manpower doing whatever in a visible presence way at the business ... that person is also somewhat on standby for...

Opinion on this vac motor from Kleen-Rite

Chaz & others, I wonder if anybody besides us has run 2 vac motors with brand new brushes in series that allow them to run at half voltage for breaking in & seating of the brushes. I am not saying that this is the way to go ... but throwing it out here for the sake of discussion. I believe...

    Coin Acceptor Double Pulse

docscarwash, In the embeddied logic electronic world there is such a thing as a need for "debouncing of the pulse". That is usually accomplished through both hardware &/or firmware. Since getting into embedded logic recently more than I really wanted to do ... there also could be a solution...

    Dixmor Weepmizer – Using Air

Kevin & others, We have three bays of our six bays that are very sheltered & deicer installed but not totally enclosed with overhead doors like the other three bays. We use air to blow out the lines & they are ready to go when the temperature again as soon as temp reaches the thaw point. The...

    Transfer Pump for CW chemicals

Eric, Just a thought ... you may want to get a 3 way ball valve for the air side that meets the low specs needed. You may be surprised at how reasonable those kind of valves have become. A pop of valve could also make sense ... just in case some serious distraction occurs while you are in the...

Secure tokens and their cost is increasing per token

cfcw, I remember talking to Mike Oliver from IDX at a Heartland show & it seems like the answer would be yes. The caveat it seems would be some security lost from what IDX originally had planned with their exclusively tailored X10 tokens for some custom ordered ??? X10s that match perfectly...
