    New Self Serve Equipment

Mac I saw a magic wand system in Missouri approx 6 months ago in great condition in ebay. They were asking $6K for it and it ended up selling for $1500. I went back and forth on it bc I have JC at my other 2 locations and wanted to standardize for the 3rd location. Anyway I'll keep a look out

Advice on WW Razor & SoftGloss issues

Hey coach my Ryko froze up too. I noticed some of the ball valves on the line froze shut or the freeze damaged them. I started by disconnecting everything to make sure water was flowing freely to where it needs to be. Make sure no ice or other debris is clogging the tips. You basically are...

Anybody know a website for license plate info?

What state? I'm in Texas and use Publicdata.com and it has proven pretty good. You should see their faces when I show up with their garbage or better when they cause damage and I have police with me.

    Frozen Texas Washes

Well I just got back from checking the 3 washes. My latest wash that I purchased in Aug of last year I figured I would "get around to adding a heater in the spring" well......didn't think this would happen. You know you have issues when you pull up to the wash and hear "gushing and splashing...

    Frozen Texas Washes

Analyticawash where are you at in TX? I'm in ft worth and lost power to my washes and it's not pretty. Right now I have one equipment room fully frozen another one partially frozen and main water line leaking only bc its still frozen. Haven't made it to the last location due to bad roads.

    Thawing frozen hoses

In order for my heater at my other wash to work it needs electricity for the thermostat and the ignition. Also our gas company is having service issues as well not as bad as electricity providers but still reporting outages

    Thawing frozen hoses

Well the rolling black outs hit one of my washes here in the ft worth area. Supposedly they couldn't get the power back on since 6 a.m this morning. Long story short took my equipment room heater out and the whole place froze even the chemicals in the mix tanks! This should be fun I hope it's...

    Attracting "drive-bys"

Any limits on a road sign for your business? If not you need a sign something like "Truck Wash" that can be seen from a distance not at the last minute. You need additional signage pointing them toward your entrance. Trucks like to know ahead of time when to turn or where to turn as you can...

    Convert self serve to automatic

Depending on the model they are not that hard to keep up with. I have a softgloss Maxx and I have been pleasantly suprised how reliable it has been and when we can't figure it out Ryko's local support has been same day or next day.

    Convert self serve to automatic

Why don't you just do it yourself? Lack of capital/funding? Just curious. I'm in TX as well I haven't heard of anyone that does such a thing in terms of the big distributors maybe an independent company would be willing to.

Looking to buy my first car wash

Additionally, I would add that the 5 year balloon isn't a deal breaker as most banks refinance them after the 4th or 5th year. I don't know what your relationship with your bank might be but my experience with mine is we make an amendment and the loan is changed to add another 10 to 15 years on...

Looking to buy my first car wash

David would mind sharing your general location i.e. state? Overall the deal sound pretty good but you definitely have some due diligence to do in terms of condition of equipment, verifying income, etc. etc. I am not a CPA or financial advisor by any means however from personal experience if...

How do i determine the price to sell my car wash

Personally, every situation is different and all factors that are relevant to your situation need to be taken into consideration to determine what is fair and equitable value for both you and a potential buyer. By fair and equitable, it must be something you agree to and that also works for a...

    Oil/Water Mixture Mess

Hey guys so came into one wash this morning to find a mess of what looks to be crankcase oil and water all over the pump stand and floor. I know which bay it was bc I asked a customer and they said the bay ran fine then lost pressure. I cleaned up the mess and tried to fire the bay up but this...
