    Vacuum Cleaner Hose Sources

I know that in the past there have been posts that said that they found better vac hoses than from just limiting themselves to the car wash distributor. Do any of you remember who those companies are? We have an application for both a 1-1/4" hose & a 1-1/2" hose so we are hoping those same...

    Sprayer Attachment Vac Comb

Vac colored hose source? Thanks Big Leo, My blow dryers & my vacuums both came with black hoses. The blow dryers with a black 1-1/2" hose & the pet vacs with a black 1-1/4" hose. Do you have a good source to order from that would allow us to have a distinct color to help make instructions...

    Sprayer Attachment Vac Comb

Do you find that most of the dog washers use a mitt or their fingers to also help scrub the dog? If that was the case then I would think that a brush attachment on the end of the sprayer would be helpful. How about on the end of the pet vac hose? Maybe a comb attachment would be helpful.

    Any input on dog washes????

Advantages of the Dedicated Pet Wash Equipment Saga Trent, It was great to get your input & perspective! Have you considered developing a pet fragrance option as part of your offering? It seems like a single rather than multiple choice fragrances would make the most sense unless the...

    Spot Free Filter

Our TDS Meter Setup Bubbles, About the in line TDS meter. What we did was where it comes into the tank we sculpted & mounted a small plastic container to house the TDS probe. It is immersed in water & when the permeate is being made it is small enough to alert us to a sudden change in TDS...

Thanks---- Help--- More Info Big K, Can you elaborate some more on what constitutes adequate flow. We have our always 90 degree temperature water coming in consistently on the water gauge at 50 PSI. It comes in with a 3/4" ID Copper Pipe. We are thinking that we will not want to use the...

    Any input on dog washes????

Specific Bugs Experienced???? Big K wrote: I have had one in operation for almost a year now (four paws) I have just recently worked the bugs out and it seems to be progressively doing better. Big K, If we did not have a significant space issue, the "FOUR PAWS" was my first choice...

    Most Popular Pet Fragrance?

vereee vereee funny Bill I see you have a sense of humor Bill. Seriously, I see what you mean--- one of our regulars was muttering under his breath about how their family dog stunk up their SUV something terrible recently. It might have been his way of putting a fire under our butts to not...

    Most Popular Pet Fragrance?

What scent seems to be more popular for the dogs among you dog wash operators that use scents? Because of space limitations & concerns of the hose needing to be cleared on changeovers to a new chemical we are leaning towards possibly offering just one scent. With a little help from someone who...

    3 Column Laurel Problem

Waxman, This happened to us about 6 months ago. Most likely you will have the reaonably priced touchpad within a day or so because of your location. It happened to us on a Friday so I temporarily made it so only one button did not work but the rest did. I mitigated the situation by carefully...

    Is Magic Mist worthwhile?

Bubbles, At the last big laundry trades "Clean Show" I stopped at the Imonex Booth & I was surprised at how far along they have come & with almost every size coin drop imaginable. The few coin inserts & drops that I have bought from them I have had good reliability. They sell mostly to the...

Is this a decent piece of equipment?

IB-Pat, I agree with Earl & NewHamp & your right angle grinder. Do you use a diamond cutting wheel on the grinder? It seems that is better than a masonry wheel. It is surprising what a little muscle, good quality hand chisels & that diamond cutting wheel will do. Shop around, those diamond...

Wireless Backup to Phone lIne Alarm System

JimL, If some gang member scrambles both your regular radio & the backup radio do you have something alerting some cell phones that the connection is actually down? That is the point I wanted to make & showing how alerts should be made as fool proof as possible. Remember the guy who cut the...

    regular vac to turbo?

Bubbles, We used to have a 3 motor Monorail Vacuum. We paid extra for it to have the 3 motors. We traded it in to our Specialty Equip car wash saleman for a 4 bag Doyle & never looked back. Maybe they have improved on the newer versions of 3 motor vacs but we know for a fact that just taking...

Wireless Backup to Phone lIne Alarm System

Big Leo, Way back in the 1970s, we had envisioned the exact awful scenario that occurred to your friend. The alarm company we were using did not have a true fail safe supervised system. We solved the problem over 25 years ago but our solution involves making sure that other lines are in the...

    Is Magic Mist worthwhile?

I did a search on "Magic Mist" within this forum & I did not come up with a thorough enough discussion about Magic Mist Fragrances. Has anyone checked these dispensors out or bought one of these? It appears there is a new Magic Mist model out that can use an external timer & an external air...

    Petwash Feasibility?!

Magic Mist Pet Fragrance Follow Up Big Leo, We already have air available-----what air pressure is proper? How does the solenoid know when to open---by the selector switch? ----or by the red button? I assume that the common 24VAC hot to either is not available unless the coin box timer is...

Using Hylomar on your Cat Pump Seals

Big Leo, The replacement for the Hylomar product because it is so tough to get is Permatex # 85409 according to either Permatex or a Cat Pump application engineer. I don't remember which because it has been a few years since we when through the process of finding a suitable replacement...

Bare Bones Scent Equipment Use Possible???? Quoting Big Leo "Also, we have Pet Frangrance machines. The side benefit to them is that when used, they leave a nice scent behind...so not only does my petwash not stink...it actually smells nice!" Big Leo, I have a 2' by 9' stainless steel...
