Thanks, I got numbers off a different post that must have been incorrect.

Compressor problem - tripping breaker when trying to start under pressure

The compressor should be able to start against the pressure, but it's really hard on the start components and will shorten their life. Yours is probably failing from not having the pressure relief parts to prevent this. My bet is that you're going to end up replacing the motor. You might get...

    HP Check Valve sizing question

I didn't know they were available with stainless retainers, but if I ever use them in a high-flow application again I'll look for that. FWIW I've only had a problem with the plastic that one time.

    Winter soap

I would put a tee on the Hydrominder with two separate suction stubs with tips, one for each product, and a small ball valve for the methanol. I don't know how aggressive your soap is, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to use plastic threaded fittings.

    Cryptopay Wiring

I don't have Cryptopay, but I've installed them in a half-dozen different washes for others, the last one over two years ago, and none of them have replaced a swiper in the last two to four years.

    HP Check Valve sizing question

The pressure rating would be for its ability to check backflow. I assume you don't have anything backflowing from your undercarriage above 400 PSI. That said, you probably need to worry more about the maximum flow rate through the valve, for example I tried a 1/4" Fluid Controls HP check valve...

    Winter soap

You can put a tee and two suction hoses on the Hydrominder with a valve to shut off the methanol. That saves mixing and switching soap when it's above freezing.

    Oil/Water Mixture Mess

They're both right, the washer on the bolt may have failed, or the bolt may have come loose, or the plunger may have cracked (Unlikely but possible). Whenever I've had water get into the crankcase, I use a 3:1 mix of the cheapest non-detergent motor oil and transmission fluid. It may take a...

    Switched to count up today

I would have put up a sign too, since count-down customers would be used to pressing the button to add time, which now stops the count-up. I think that's why he's getting people stopping it early and re-swiping.

GINSAN RO Canister End Caps Leak

I've used that housing I posted. It's very robust. It would certainly be cheaper than having custom stainless steel caps made.

    Pit-y the fool

Mine only has one pit, the rest have a drain with a basin that lifts out to catch most of the mud. The basins have to be dumped about once a week, which isn't a huge deal. The pit is huge, 4' across, 8' long and 8' deep. I don't know why they made it so deep, the lines from the other bays...

    Motor Starter Contacts....better check!

Those screws have to be really tight. I can't tell you how many times I've gone through almost new equipment and found them so loose I could turn them by gripping the screwdriver shaft. I tighten them until I can feel the joints in my wrist pop.

Secret to putting push-lok fittings on

I use push-lock fittings with polybraid hose all the time whenever there's no pressure on it. It's a lot less expensive, and a lot easier to get the hose on. Kleen-Rite sells it in several colors which for some reason is even cheaper than the clear.
