    Fence in self serve carwash

I haven't done it, but I've considered it. There's a serious homeless problem here, and they've been going through the trash at night throwing it everywhere. It used to be MUCH worse, but I finally got the vacuum cleanouts secure and locked the cans down. I haven't had much vandalism to worry...

    Paraplate Regulator

I tried rebuilding a few and they either leaked again right away or only lasted a few months before they started leaking again. I'm pretty sure the inside of the cylinder wore rough and the o-ring couldn't seal in it properly. I just replace them and don't rebuild. If you want one that's...

    New to self serve

It's probably because the seal was too worn down or compressed and the plunger was too far from the coil for it to pull it up. I've had that happen with the Kip solenoids where the plunger seal had swelled to the point it wouldn't open, so I shaved it off with a razor blade, then it would only...

    Rainy days...

The ones I posted are 8200 lumens, so two of them should be brighter than a single 320 watt Scottsdale at just a bit over 1/3rd the wattage. That fits with your unscientific rule of thumb.

    Rainy days...

Part of why I plan on eventually having four lights per bay instead of two high wattage ones is so I can turn half of them off at midnight. I may have one of the remaining two on a motion sensor, and will most likely have the other two come on when someone starts the bay.

    3 Way High Pressure Valve

IMO you're better off with two high pressure solenoids. DEMA 453P are good, there's some that are all SS but obviously more expensive. To simplify the wiring you could use one NO and one NC so you'd need only one selection input to switch.

Foamy brush winter antifreeze not foaming

There's actually nothing wrong with what you have. New AirLogic won't work any better. If you do replace it, get something with covered Hydrominder tanks. I also make my own foam generators, yes they will clog eventually, when you can make them for about $4 each they're cheap enough that you...

    Rainy days...

The Jarvis are very good lights, especially if you need the full light the metal halides put put when new. I've installed these in two washes, and they're amazingly bright considering they use 1/6th the electricity. I've done two per bay in place of two MH and it's bright, but I think it'll...

    high pressure tubing type

I'd use either flare or double ferrule compression. If you have a lot to do, flare will save you some money. Regular single ferrule are not as reliable for high pressure, for example you can't use them on brake lines.

Foamy brush winter antifreeze not foaming

That solenoid board looks like something the Amish might build. Did you adjust the dilution of the soap when you changed over?

    high pressure tubing type

SS needs to be installed in a way that it can't rub on anything, and it would need a pulse dampener at the pump or it will vibrate and make a lot of noise. Thermoplastic gives with the pulsing of the pump and doesn't need a pulse dampener, and just needs to be protected from rubbing on corners...

    Paint for "Fire Lane" marking

Right, because your graffiti removal anecdote is relevant to marking and striping a lot. <--sarcasm

    high pressure tubing type

Extreme initial cost? It's barely twice as much as 1-wire hose. I use thermoplastic, which is 50% more expensive than 1-wire, and it's freeze-proof. SS tubing is not, it will either permanently swell or break.

    Paint for "Fire Lane" marking

I don't mind getting down and rolling something on if it will hold up better, but I didn't think about the rattle can option.

    Paint for "Fire Lane" marking

What's a good paint for marking parking lines and "Fire Lane" curbs? I know prep is the most important part, but I want something that won't fade in a few months which red is usually bad about. I need to do some parking lines too, which will be in yellow.

I wash mine maybe one a year now, where I used to do it twice a week working for others.

    HP Rocker Blasters At Entrance

I don't like them for several reasons. They're great for removing light mud, but do you really want them coming into your auto bay with mud? The water dilutes the presoak in the area it needs to be the strongest. People love to just sit there and run it out. It's a lot of water. Side...
