Theft of meter box doors, and looking for advise how to secure them better.

The cam locks aren't getting the chance to flip a coin.

Theft of meter box doors, and looking for advise how to secure them better.

Do not use Master or American Lock puck locks, or any other brand that uses the same type of core, to secure cash boxes. They can be opened with a comb pick almost as quickly and easily as with the key. These locks have been fairly secure until now because no one made a tool that was thin...

    HYDROMINDER 506 SOAPS

3/8" tubing is enough if your water pressure is good, but it sounds like the whole supply off your manifold is inadequate. You might have gotten foot valves some from a bad batch. Every so often they put out some that just plain don't work.

    Cryptopay on Vacuums.. Worth it

You're probably right, but it might be worth a test. I watch customers at washes all the time press the button and never look at the timer to see how much they spent.

    Electroswitch Failing

Electroswitch is definitely a lot better than Shallco in that regard, but they're both steel and will rust.

    Cryptopay on Vacuums.. Worth it

I think you have to use a digital display for count-up. The question is what activates the timer to start the count-up. If the swiper just closes a 24VAC circuit to the timer, you could just use that to activate a relay. I have not set up a vacuum on count-up or seen one that way, but I would...

    Electroswitch Failing

I use the boot and Sil-Glyde. I always have some on hand because I do my own brakes. It's much thicker than o-ring or faucet grease, but it still flows better into crevices and is not going to wash away.

    HYDROMINDER 506 SOAPS

It sounds like each multi-compartment tank is fed by too small of a water supply. For the "4 banger" tank, is there just one small hose that feeds all four Hydrominders?

You may have to add a check valve on the soap/wax lines.

I can get an 8600 GPD RO unit at retail for about $8,000.

    Vinyl numbers?

Having a sign shop make lettering is going to be a lot more expensive than anything precut, but the good material will last decades in the elements.

    O-ring for 4" RO Housing

That's the o-ring that goes in a groove inside where the small center tube of the membrane seals.

    Potential purchase

That's still not what I said. No, I'm recommending they get their advice on whether or not to replace all the equipment from an experienced operator instead of an equipment salesman.

    Pit Cleaning Advise

The problems with just about any kind of pump sill be that you'll have to add some water to get the mud out, and you have to pump it into something. That something won't be a wheelbarrow. You're probably better off with the shovel.

Does Having a Leaf Blower Help at Your SSCW?

Someone left a 60V EGO Green Works battery at my wash I'll send you for the cost of postage.

Does Having a Leaf Blower Help at Your SSCW?

I don't have any trees that drop leaves on the lot, so a leaf blower isn't necessary. I sweep thoroughly around all the vacs every day with a push broom, and that barely takes five minutes. I used to manage a wash that was so busy and got so messy that I had to use a leaf blower for all the trash.

Can you quote me on that? Because I see nowhere that I said anything close to that. Or are you perhaps sensitive to such comments because you're in the very position to make money off him?

This would be the best site for expert advice. Getting someone you can trust on site might be the hardest part. Most distributors want to sell equipment and don't care if you succeed or fail, they make their money regardless. Get your advice from someone who doesn't stand to make money off...
