Isn't that great? You offer something extra for free and they don't say anything, you take it away and they complain.

    Best tunnel equipment?

He's just letting us know which ones he likes his mom to drive him through. I've suggested to him in PM already that he should make it transparent that he's just a 17 year old kid, but he repeatedly (on three different accounts, the other two are Wisconsin Car Wash Channe and The Car Wash...

PLC and VFD controlled self service bays

No, it's not. It's more complicated, more finicky, more expensive, it still has all the parts as a conventional system. D&S along with Hydrospray have a setup that needs no tanks, and it's an absolute nightmare to work on or even diagnose anything. It's supposed to save space, but it saves...

Is 22ga meter box wire acceptable?

That's a really good price. It's probably going to be solid wire, but for the box to room run it will work perfectly fine. Just don't try to use it anywhere it will get flexed.

Is 22ga meter box wire acceptable?

Cheapest multi-conductor cable I've ever found: https://www.primuscable.com/products/security-alarm-cable-plenum-cmp-18-12-awg-cl3p-stranded-7-strand-unshielded-1000ft-white?_pos=13&_sid=e1c26b144&_ss=r They used to have an 18/15 but I can't find it.

I had $360 in straight 20s, but I'm leaving it enabled because a lot of my customers bring them.

I keep going through flojet pumps

I have had stalled pumps start working again by unplugging the air line and plugging it back in. The attendant that was at mine before I got it would bash them with a pipe wrench.

Dilling & Harris SS stand questions

It does - I had used a programmable relay at a wash with a D.A.N. system to cancel the card transaction when "STOP" was selected, and I used an extra output to purge the bay hose with air. It would only take 4 seconds for tire cleaner to reach the wand when selected.

I'm also not seeing anything different. If anything, homeless issues are down - could be because I've run off or had arrested or gotten CTWs against a bunch in the last 18 months. I did have someone call a few weeks ago asking for a $20 refund from the changer, and it was legit, they only lied...

PLC and VFD controlled self service bays

I don't recommend the setup. It works, but it's usually not very efficient. Some of these systems are so over-engineered that they're very troublesome. The only real advantage is the reduced apace it takes up.

    Would you build/invest right now?

I've been looking into partnering with someone on a new SS/IBA, but we would have to get the land cheap for it to work. Things are growing fast here, and there are a lot of potentially good locations that in about five more years will have the traffic to support the project. Getting the land...

I keep going through flojet pumps

Deadhead is to have the pump pressurized all the time and letting the output solenoids control all the flow. I have few Flojet issues running them that way, but I doubt that will make the pump last longer. I just don't have control on the air to them because you need something kind of...

Dilling & Harris SS stand questions

Maybe check the solenoid orifice too, some of them used 3/32 for everything which might restrict flow. I always run 3/8" OD tubing for higher flow functions. If they're block style solenoids, they might have adjustments on the side that you haven't noticed.

The Kip solenoids are 7 watts, about .3 amps each.

    WAGO wire connectors

I'm sure it's mostly one of those "That's just how we've always done it" attitudes. I just love cutting apart that 3/4" thick bundle of wire on a Coleman combo vac to change the coin acceptor, or better yet work on it after someone's butchered the wiring trying to figure out a problem.

Is 22ga meter box wire acceptable?

That's the type of contactor that the coil will draw too much current to run with 22 gauge wire. You can either double up the hot wire to the bay and the contactor wire coming back to take the heavier load, if you have enough strands to do so, or as I mentioned put a relay in the control box to...

Is 22ga meter box wire acceptable?

22 gauge is enough. You can run at least 100 feet without a significant voltage drop. The only time you might have an issue is if you have the older motor starters with the "heater" thermal overload - the coil draws too many watts for 22 gauge wire, and even that can be bypassed with a small...
