    Buffo Locks...

If you hadn't left it unlocked, odds are they would have destroyed your changer getting into it. The last guys I helped replace their changer had a front load that opens from outside. Crooks broke into the building and cut the back off it and completely destroyed everything getting to the money.

    Buffo Locks...

Kleen-Rite lists them all. When I took over my wash there were six different key numbers, and I have keys to my customers' washes which includes at least four more.

How to update MEI / MARS bill acceptor firmware?

Contact AECO Sales. They should be able to help you get it if they can't get it to you directly.

    Recommendation for Spot Free Rinse?

Running spot free at 450 PSI in the bays is a game-changer IMO when you're competing with other washes. The major downside is when you're tight on space, because you have to add another high-pressure pump stand.

    Buffo Locks...

28ST is the model series of the lock. The specific model number is 28/70. If you have one you're trying to match, the number is only on the key. Each lock on Kleen-Rite is listed by the key number. They're four digits, so if it says "BUFFO LOCK #80" it's a 28/70 lock keyed number 0080. You...

How to update MEI / MARS bill acceptor firmware?

Call Etowah Valley Equipment. They used to rent the updater. IMO it's not worth buying the unit for one car wash. Are yours so out-of-date that they aren't accepting current bills?

    No Power to Rotary Dial

Start by checking for power between the common (Green wire) and timed load (White wire) from the timer, or try a timer from a different bay.

    Recommendation for Spot Free Rinse?

I used to run a wash with a Bright 'n Clean spot free system. It was nothing more than a few parts on a wall mount fixture custom made out of Unistrut. It would be cheap and easy to replicate. It was put in around 1980 and it's still there.

American Changer AC800 auto pay station decal

Check with STAGraphics, they might have one. Maybe American Changer can do a custom one too.

    Rebuilding pressure regulators?

I've never rebuilt one of those, but it's always possible with a brass regulator with steel hardware that something is rusted, corroded, or eroded beyond repair. You'll just have to see once you get it apart.

    Rebuilding pressure regulators?

To avoid downtime I'd recommend replacing it and rebuilding the old one to have as a backup. https://www.autowashonline.com/default.aspx?page=item+detail&itemcode=C23ABKIT&catlist=966&parent=947

Rhino Mat Cleaners - yes or no?

FWIW I've only seen mat cleaners at two washes, owned by the same person. It wasn't a Rhino, it was a Dralco unit that didn't use water. They had it set up for free use. He told me customers loved it and would drive past two other car washes to come to his wash mostly because of the mat cleaner.

Im guessing Im missing something on this killer deal from KR

It's just the vacuum that mounts to the pole, no coin box. http://www.jeadams.com/Handler.ashx?Item_ID=BA6C947D-45A1-4314-ACCB-0F84C6BCF0E4 It's not even a very good deal since the same thing from IVS is $200 cheaper...

Woo Hoo My First Car Wash!!!

I prefer to run separate presoak lines to each bay with 3/8" OD nylon tubing. Normally I just use a Flojet at 90 PSI, but I have had people request higher pressure and used a Procon at 120 PSI. I'd rather run it at 90, too much chemical use at higher pressures. I don't run any needle valves...

Woo Hoo My First Car Wash!!!

Can you describe it? I've seen some unusual presoak systems. One I've seen has a tank with an immersion heater and a pump that runs continuously. Instead of separate tubing for each bay there's a hose that loops all the way back and forth the entire length of the wash, and the solenoids are...

    best SS HP soap

There is so little cleaning agent in it that once it's diluted to high pressure soap at the tip it isn't going to do anything.
