I would rather have something that I don't have to mess with on a seasonal basis. Also, I don't think I would ever have hot water except in the summer when the incoming water is warmer.

What diameter are the floats? According to Jobe they are about 5" which won't work in our tank. They make smaller floats for those valves but they are only for over tank mounting like your set up.

Are those the compact type like the ones at KR I linked?

I had to look that up since it seemed high to me. $7.89 here.

It is hard to get perfect coverage because the customer is in control of speed. Also not able to control dwell time. As you can see this is a friction wash so it is not nearly as critical.

Etowah Valley did not offer any help on the subject other than what I already knew. They said they fit into a jig for welding so there is no way they could be made wrong. I guess they just offer the wrong advice on the install.

I mounted these 36" apart and put two washers under the flange in one corner and one in the other to make them fall to the wand holster. The booms hit the swivel of the opposite boom. Terrible design. They could have bent the "Z" part much closer to the hub and would have cleared no problem...

It's probably more important to start with an architect that knows car washes. The contractor will just follow a good set of drawings.

Just curious what the advantages are of this. Do you have some way for air to come into the ER when they kick on? Maybe they are plumbed to pull in from the outside?

Sadly he will not be able to answer. The valves he is referring to are inside the pump head.

How much per bay? New build or replacement? It gets nutty real quick depending on what you are buying. The machine cost is just the starting point.
