    Hydrominder Inlet Screen

I agree, I'd put either a large strainer or a whole house filter on the line that feeds the Hydrominders. It will also prevent debris or broken-down resin from the softener from causing problems.

When/how often to change vac bags

If you want to keep them working as long as possible, change the brushes on a schedule.

    Vector carriage Jam

The one from ASCWS is correct.

    Help me break in!!

My suggestion would be to take a drill and a bit large enough that you can go in at somewhat of an angle, it would have to be 3/8 or bigger so you can get on top of the Allen bolt instead of inside the hex, and with as much angle as possible, and just drill. It will slowly grind the bolt down...

    Foam brush problems

I set it to cow pies. I prefer the vertical hangers with the head about 7 feet off the ground (Keeps kids from taking it down and sweeping the floor with it) and I set it where by the time one pie had hit the floor another is breaking loose from the brush and falling. It puts a lot of foam on...

When/how often to change vac bags

It depends on the motors you're using. If it's the VMK19 from Kleen-Rite, I don't waste any bother changing the brushes if they're worn all the way down because they never last long once they've worn that far. The commutator always gets damaged and there's no fix for that.

Air/liquid mixture in the ER vs in the bay

You would need a bigger line from the room to the bay, and like Earl said it will drop out of foam on its way. I've seen a number of washes built in the 80's that were like that, and you really can't get a good consistent low pressure spray or foam at the brush unless the run is fairly short...

Rotary Dial, pump on and off.

Most washes here have functions in an order that promotes use that way. Mine is tire cleaner, presoak, high pressure soap, foam brush, rinse 1, trifoam, wax, rinse 2, spot free. There's a LOT of pump on/off action when they're using the Braille method of finding the selection they want. The...

    RO Help

7 ppm is still very good. It's most likely just something different about the new membranes, and it might even drop over time. The new ones are coated with an algaecide that needs to flush out. Have you checked your water softness? That can affect the RO quality. Why did you change the...

When/how often to change vac bags

I only clean the bags if I need to. That's usually after someone has sucked up so much water that the bags have gotten wet. I use the JE Adams bags with the spring bottom that snaps in, which are not only easier to change, they're a different material that almost doesn't trap dirt at all...

    Slugbuster II deprogramming

All the way down to reject.

Rotary Dial, pump on and off.

That's probably enough to prevent the rapid on/off when people turn past the high-pressure functions, but I'd prefer to keep the pump engaged when they go past a low-pressure function to another high-pressure one.

Rotary Dial, pump on and off.

That would be an off delay, not an on/off delay.

    Hydraulic hose crimper recommendations

The 3/8" one are really tough to get tightened down all the way. I can't imagine trying to do a 3/4".

    Foam brush problems

It depends on if you have individual adjustments. If you have them, try opening them all about 1/4 turn and set the air to 20-25. I try to get one bay how I like it, then lock the regulator and only use the adjustments for the rest. Usually once you get it right, you won't have to change the...

    Foam brush problems

It looks pretty good in the video, but there's way too much air. The first picture makes it look like there isn't enough chemical. Hydrominders aren't precise. I can never get the same output at two different washes with the same tips.

Rotary switch 2 or 3 stack?

Is the middle stack not used at all? Your picture doesn't show position 20. If you are able to use the 2-stack and you order one from Kleen-Rite, make sure you move the jumpered red wires to the 2x stack.

    Banks still offer coin counters?

They waived the fee for the first three months. I'm their only customer who ever brings in bulk coins, which is usually just a couple bags a month (though somehow I've ended up with about 20 bags worth stashed all over the house), so $8 a month isn't a big deal. I checked every bank in the...
