    Older Cars PITA

Guy with 1998 Tahoe calls. My manager advises him of the policy. Customer says we are discriminating. He insists on speaking to me. How productive will this use of my time be?

    Foam vs. Cloth

Agreed. Cloth cleans better. FWIW I have an AVW Top Brush with Foam. Do not know who OEM supplier is. Faom Failed at 75K cars. Wasshedding pieces like crazy. Order repalcement from AVW. Same experience. Repeated again. Finally called Dan at Erie. His replacement lasted 200k cars with no...

    Older Cars PITA

Seriously Robert. Every operation manual? How many were for unattended Tunnels or EE's with perhaps the only human being the loader? Lets be realistic and compare apples to apples. Attempting the impossible is not a productive use of anyones' time.

    Older Cars PITA

    1. My post was somewhat misleading in that the letter is only to be used if there happened to be a problem. 2. I guess going back 60 years with 4 locations does not qualify us as a "legacy". 3. All else are great suggestions for those living in an ivory tower. The last 4 issues, at seperate...

Typical adhesive foam tape on the underside and some gloppy Glue residue. Cover ahd some tiny cracks aronf the edge. Could have...

    moving the bottom packages up

    >>What is this guy selling, product or service?<< From your observations - neither! I guess we could have a debate about semantics, but if you can't touch it, it's a service. >> How can customers get it if the owner doesn’t? << I would say the (potential) customers "Get It". That is why...

    credit card fees

You always need to compare apples to apples. hey often quote their fees but that's plus other fees like interchange fees so you can't just look at your bill and comapre your total fees to what they quote you.

Crazy price discrepancies~what would you do?

Yhe smart salesman would match it and just dilute it more. I have had a couple set up samples. So far they couldn't touch KR for Some tunnel and SS stuff. Wheel clenaer and drying agent I buy from local reps. Wasn't happy with these KR items.

    moving the bottom packages up

Dang it. I was hoping for answers and got more questions. All food for thought. >> What is the product? For example, how much better is the “Better” wash as compared to Good wash? Does the “Better” wash offer more shine and/or protection than Good? And so forth. >> One of the thoughts I...

    moving the bottom packages up

As noted in post 15. Why is our industry different than others like the fast food industry. Package names instead of numbers. A La carte being almost non existent. Granted there are distinctions but do they warrant a different strategy and why?

Who has the premiere in-bay CC acceptance system?

I think most set a$10 limit so why would the CC average be less than $10 and still have more than one swipe average?

Which combo vac brand do you prefer?

As with most things, opinions can vary. One of the variables was that I upped the Vac Price from 75 cents to $1.00 when I put in the Combos. I don't know if this is available to you. I stayed at 80 seconds per quarter and put on the $1.00 vacs that they gave more time. (I kept some of the 75...

Who has the premiere in-bay CC acceptance system?

I have to say Cryptopay has been about as simple an install and trouble free operation as things get. My only issue is being able to seperate teh bay CC revenue from the tunnel. I take the monthly total and subtract from it the tunnel CC revenue to arrive at the bay revenue. It took me 6...

    Older Cars PITA

OK, this last week is making me take the leap. Out of 4 locations, 2 damage issues each at a different place. DS Mirror on a 2002 Chevy, and Rear Wiper motor on a 2002 4 runner. No other mirror or rear wiper issues. The wiper was still in perfect condition but the threaded stub on the...
