    Dollar Coin Vote?

Reds, one of the main reasons the dollar coin has failed is not due to the public rejecting, but more so that business refuses to adapt and give consumers a place to spend their new dollar coins. <<<<<< How so? The amount of money used in vending machines pales in comparison to the sums spent...

    moving the bottom packages up

At TB last night. The menu board above the counter had 10 panels. 3-4 were dedicated to a la carte suggestions. 3 were dedicated to packages. The rest were for deserts, drinks and special. So at least 50/50 for a la carte vs specials. I guess mr. roamn needs to contact Yum Brands nd tell them...

Which combo vac brand do you prefer?

15 Coleman combos at 3 locations. Some in service morre than 20 years. Few issues. What I would call routine stuff. Every vew years a Hose, Vac Motor, Every 10 years maybe a compressor, timer, acceptor, float switch, solenoid, Estheticaly they are (I think) some of the best. Others have more...

    Dollar Coin Vote?

A reason to love dollar coins. (Note, this scheme was stopped in July 2011) http://www.dailyfinance.com/on/lifehack-legal-schemes-save-money-consumer-ethics/ I decided to talk to Brad Wilson about this. Wilson runs deal site BradsDeals, and he regularly employs all manner of shopping tricks...

    moving the bottom packages up

Agreed that packages dominate. I go to TB occasionaly but since I pretty much know what I want which typicaly incudes an ala carte item I no longer look for it on the menu board. I just ask for it. I will look again next time. At some other places the package seems to have a "Sandwich only"...

Bury water storage tanks in equipment room?

Everything is great when new. Decades down the raod if there is a collapse, you lose not only the tank, but equipment as well. Somewhere outside might be a better choice.

    moving the bottom packages up

Can't help but wonder is our industry different than others. Why do we use package names instead of #s like the fas food guys? If a la carte is passe, then I guess the fast food guys are clueless since they offer a la cart items as well .

    moving the bottom packages up

The point was pricing and package elements, not just 3 packages. I guess my point was not clear. As far as passe goes... well, since I read it on the internet it must be true!

    moving the bottom packages up

A recent episod of "Brain Games" expored pricing / decision making. Firts they had 2 sizes of popcorn at the theater. $3.00 Small and $7.00 Large. No one would buy the large. In interviews they said it was just too much to py for popcorn. Then they added a medium for $6.50. Many chose the...

    Does anyone have LED wallpacks?

Perhaps no one has them because the cost to convert makes no sense on an ROI basis. Perhaps for a new build it might make more sense.

    Interesting Dollar Coin Read

    >>Americans love their greenbacks and have never warmed to dollar coins. . Maybe we don't like their bulkiness in the pocket, or perhaps that vending machine won't accept them. The reasons may not always be clear, but we just don't like them. ... many people didn't like the idea of heavy...

New Flex Serve (Not So Easy)

With the McDonalds Drive thru it's usualy a screen with microphoen and speaker. Lots of McDs are now built with 2. Some that have one now use a human as the second. They are tyicaly set up for a single cashier and then you get your food at another window. We are low tech No Pay stations. Our...

New Flex Serve (Not So Easy)

Some ideas. What is the "Car gap between Greeter and loader? We find that some customers are easy and some not so much. For max througput we need a gap of 6 cars or so (that means 6 cars that have finished with the greater just waiting to load) . If one customer takes a long time, and a space...
