Finally a credit card reader that accepts tap and chip cards

I'm assuming this is the same reader you have. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-70231-monexgroup-ultravx-waterproof-unattended-payment-terminal-for-car-washes.aspx

Finally a credit card reader that accepts tap and chip cards

Are you able to remotely start a wash? I read a few months ago they were working on that. Did they say when the gift card/loyalty card feature would be out of beta testing? In the second photo is there a back cover to the unit that has been removed?

I notice that too and can't believe anyone would buy at those cap rates.

Cost per car in touches IBA with 6 self serve bays

I don't remember running across that before. It seems like a good read sometime when I get the chance. There's some stuff to just skip over but there's a lot of interesting info. Is there a newer version? This one appears to be 25 years old and therefore pretty outdated.

Surely that town services a much larger area being rural. Even with that I don't see how they can survive.

    Ceramic Option

Are you going to use it as a high pressure function or low pressure? Will it replace your wax or protectant function? Get it dialed in to your liking and then figure your cost per minute of usage in the bay. That should help with determining on whether to raise your price or not.

Corporate Express Exteriors are OUT of Their Ever Loving Minds!

They have burned the rulebook. In the next city over three more are going in. They will then have five express exterior washes in a 43,000 population city with slow-ish growth. There will be four on the same 21,000 ADT road within 3.5 miles and two will be almost next to each other. (just a bank...

    Air Dryer handles flying around

I have some readings now and not sure what I was thinking before. With the Air Logic nozzle installed it is drawing 13 amps, 10 amps without the nozzle and 34 amps with the nozzle pushed hard against the wall. For some reason I did not think of it at the time but I should restricted the intake...

Touchless Front & Rear Eyebrow removal

Are you guys running heated presoak? If so I wonder if less air injection would keep it warmer. It might be marginally better though. From what I understand the issue with this time of year is that the oils are released from the asphalt because of the rising temperatures but not hot enough yet...

    What would you do?

Around here $500k would be a reasonable asking price and there's no way you could build it for that amount. $500k doesn't go very far at all these days. Agree with Greg that you would put at least $300k in equipment depending on what you spec out. What size is the auto bay? Hopefully they built...

    Air Dryer handles flying around

Have you experienced this? I'm just about for sure I checked ours and the highest draw I measured was without any nozzle at all. Blowers are funny like that.

Touchless Front & Rear Eyebrow removal

Are you using a high then a low (or the opposite) pH or just high? I have never seen a touchless truly remove the eyebrow. It seems that different times of the year is better though.

    Air Dryer handles flying around

https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-22580-6-stainless-steel-wand-holder-by-hamel-manufacturing.aspx It would be nice if it was polished or had a brushed finish because it looks like it was made in an exhaust shop. Not attractive.

    Air Dryer handles flying around

Are you using the original Diskin rectangular holder? We use the short Hamel wand holder and has not been an issue since switching over.

    What is this receptacle?

Actually I'm wrong about this. Something like a water heater would technically only need the two hot wires and no neutral. Maybe there were two prong 220 plugs back in the day.

    What is this receptacle?

You would need three conductors to get that in a house in the US.

    What is this receptacle?

I think it's rated for 15 amps and would normally be wired for 115v. I have seen several in old houses but were the duplex type. After doing some research on them I believe they were a transitional design to accommodate cord plugs that had either the "new" parallel prongs and the old inline cord...
