Small Town, no in bay automatic

Short answer, NO. I've seen it done near me several times. All with towns of around 1000. They failed miserably. I now live in a town of about 1000. A year or so ago, someone bought the only wash here, 2 SS, 1 IBA. They totally remodeled the building, repaved the lot, and installed a brand new...

Need all new equipment, everything !! Bought a closed down car wash in Pasadena, Texas

Greg Pack is a good friend and one of the top posters here on the forum. He has used mostly Coleman-Hanna equipment throughout his career, so I assume those safes I got from him came from there. They look like your picture, but without the welded on tabs.

    Vector Rapid Wash

I know that Etowah Valley Eq. in Etowah, NC has/had a Vector in their own wash. I'm not sure what brands he sells, but I would contact them. 888-920-2646

Need all new equipment, everything !! Bought a closed down car wash in Pasadena, Texas

I had two washes with safes that looked like that. One of them I got used from Greg Pack. They were T-handle, and most likely were Coleman. The other wash had the screw type with a Medeco plug lock. The wash had Magic Wand equipment. They are now owned by Istobal, so I would start there.

Getting the screws out of the round safe

Earl has the tab for a puck lock. I'm sure that's decent grab handle, or just hook it with the wrench.

Buying a SS carwash. P&L's not correct.

Geography plays a huge part in this. I spent 50 years in the CW business, in Ky. Winter is definitely the best, overall. You will have wild swings during winter, but it's still the most productive, The hot days of summer are usually lackluster, and you're just waiting for it to get cold so it...

Buying a SS carwash. P&L's not correct.

FWIW, that generation of machine was made from 2002 to about 2010. So, at least that auto has been replaced sometime after 1999.

Vending Little Trees in Spiral Vendor

Regardless of how these machines are marketed, they are snack machines, and we are trying to vend some items that they just weren't made for. It's a process of trial and error. I did many different things over the years. I stretched spirals and cut them to the length I needed, rotated them 180...

    Pit mud disposal

I'm from Ky. and looked into this about 20 years ago. I did find a KRS statute regarding it. It was kind of ambiguous and vague. IIRC, there were several stipulations. I think you had to own the property it was dumped on, it couldn't be near a waterway, and had to be approved by the cabinet...

If it were your car wash... New owner

I agree with Randy. I live in an almost identical town. I just watched someone buy the only wash here, totally remodel it, including a brand new Laserwash. It’s been about six months since they re-opened. I’d say that they are about ready to put a gun in their mouth by now.

Mounting things on PVC wall panels

They were Extrutech. I’m almost positive they were 1/2” thick. The 5/8 nut was maybe a 32th of an inch shorter, so whatever you were fastening, snugged down perfectly.

Mounting things on PVC wall panels

When I mounted anything substantial to the panels, I would make a 1" hole with a hole saw, and insert a stainless steel 5/8" nut. It's a perfect fit for the hole and almost the exact thickness of the panel. You could tighten down as much as you wanted and no risk of them squashing.

Miami Dade county hand carwash permits/licenses

Every municipality is going to be different, with their own hoops to jump through. Sorry, but your going to have to go to city hall, maybe even get an attorney to guide you through the process.

    Elektrim Motors for dryers?

I had a Mark VII IBA that had aluminum motors. I had one that the mounting flanges corroded and broke off. This was an onboard dryer, and luckily it didn't fall off, but I know someone that did have one fall. This was not unusual with these and I think they quit using them relatively quickly...

Enthusiasm for the Car Wash show...

I've been on this forum for 24 years, and I don't think I have seen less enthusiasm than this year. I know I use to get excited about it every year. I had even planned on showing up this year, just to visit old acquaintances, but life prevented it. Those of you that went, was there anything...
