Just changed out my Tapeswitch single start pad for my IBA. On the advice of a friend, I used 3 of the smaller tapeswitches in a row, 2 for 'stop' and 1 for 'backup'. My reasoning is cost savings; the big, single pad is expensive and the smaller ones are less $$. Plus, when the big one goes bad, it's only one area of it that gets glitchy. So now, my thinking is that I can replace one smaller pad at a time in the series of 3, depending on where most customers stop.

We'll see, I guess. :p

That's brilliant. Which IBA do you have? Last year, I replaced at least 6 pads!!! They get expensive. Which ones did you get to replace it?

I have a Superior Side Trac 700. The switch I bought is the skinny blue ramped Tapeswitch, about 9"x24".

$130-160, depending upon size and ramped/square edged.

What size did you have before? 9" was the biggest one I could find. I'm VERY happy with it compared to the treadle btw!
