You can make your own ultra-lean mixer for a 506 Hydrominder, just add a tee and a second eductor and tip. What seems to be most important is to have the one with the larger tip pulling from the already mixed tank closest to the eductor. I've tried it with and without a foot valve and screen in the mix tank and there doesn't seem to be any difference in how it works.

I have done this but the only way to be sure what the dilution is .. is by checking the product drawn from the concentrate with the water used. There does not seem to be ny rel calculation that works. It's a trial and error thing.

Are you diluting the was 3/1 first, or just using it as is?

At one tunnel with some water pressure issues I dilute first to use the regular tips. At the SS and 3 other tunnels I just go with the Ultra lean. I think the posted dilution is 600 / 1 and you can get that with the ultra lean. I would try that first. Less hassle than diluting first.

This is true - it's never been a problem for me since I prefer to go for a dilution that I feel works best rather than a recommended one.

No two car washes are really the same just as the phrase at the bottom of my posts suggests. I have set up identical washes several miles apart and had to use different settings on almost every chemical. As Earl suggests it involves trial and error and you also must monitor results frequently in case something changes in your wash. I remember one time that we set up a tunnel one morning and we were getting great results. A couple of days later the owner called to say that they weren't getting cars cleaned. We went back that afternoon and had to agree that the results were not good. We checked the settings and even titrated and found the settings had not changed. We found out later that week that in that city due to heavy seasonal usage of water they changed sources of water sometimes from morning to afternoon or day to day depending on the weather. Most of their water came from different aqueducts which thank God is somewhat rare. With several adjustments we were able to get more consistent results. The moral of the story is that no wash is really a "set it and forget it" proposition.

Are you guys injecting air into your SS wax? What about pre-soak? Currently both of mine are low pressure with no air. I am trying to see what I can improve on.

I inject air into wheel cleaner Pre Soak and Wax LP functions.

I currently only have air injected into my FB. I don't even have wheel cleaner, I just use pre-soak for that function on the dial. Funny that no one has ever noticed or complained. I would rather add true tire cleaner though. I have also been thinking of injecting air into the wax and pre-soak. Not sure how much work that would take or if it would even make a noticeable difference.

I use Velocity from Blue Coral. It has a nice Vanilla scent. I use it for my IBAs and SS bays.

I use mostly KR self serve chemicals. They look and perform well for me. The only problem I have is they gel up (algae?) frequently and stop up the strainers. I would change brands but the price is so good when they have the buy 3 get 1 free deal and free shipping for a pallet.

Had this issue and switched to Low PH product use it for both HP and Pre soak. Comes in different colors. . No more issues. Price is comparable.
