Cash Counting Machines

I did not state this correctly. Fitness sorting is a feature that removes the bills that are in poor shape so the nice ones can be loaded into a cash recycler or dispenser. If it has that feature I would assume it is a unit that jams less.
I've checked out alot of those with that feature and they appear to all be over 25-28 lbs. My problem is I need something lighter and portable, since I do the administrative work from home and end up with stacks of bills spread all over my kitchen table! I store the counter in a cupboard in another room and end up dragging it back and forth, and my home office is too small and crowded for a big heavy machine. And at 76 years old, it an be rough. Might just try re-organizing my office to make room for it.

Yes, my bank runs the bills; but I like to know beforehand how much I've got, and it makes it easier for them if they're sorted. Our branch, unfortunately, is very understaffed and I feel real guilty standing at the teller's window, taking a long time, with a huge line in back of me. And it's Wells Fargo. Go figure.

Depending on what you do they are simple but may require multiple steps to get the bills ready for deposit.

The first thing I do is run the bills in face mode. This sorts into two pockets depending on how they are faced. it does not count the bills at this point

After that, I count the bills using "mix face orient mode" which both counts the money and sorts into the two pockets depending on which way they are oriented. I record the totals.

I then use the strap mode to sort and strap the bills in their individual denomination, starting with ones, then fives, tens, and finally twenties.

Finally, for batches of bills too small to strap I go back to mix face orient mode and count them, strap then and right the total on the strap.

It sounds like a lot, but you could hand me a stack of 2K all mixed up and I could prepare a deposit in probably 15-20 minutes that is dead on every time.

This is a two pockets 4098
Your bank still requires face and oriented bills? None of our banks do.

doesn't yall's bank count the bills? My wife usually counts our's , before we go to the bank. However, if she doesn't, I just take em in there & they do THEIR job!
I would never trust them that much, still need to know how much it is before taking it to them

I got mine from Dan at Klopp. I dont know the brand but it was pricey. It counts and sorts and has the fitness feature that is handy for the cash that goes into my bill breaker machine. It is heavy. To keep from transporting i just bought more of them. Well worth the price in my opinion.
