Hello, wondering how often we supposed to lubricate pump motors (mine are Baldor), any indication its about the time?

I've never done it. Most of my motors are original and many years old (some, decades). The bearings are sealed so I can't imagine that it could do any good.

Never done it. 30 years. Replaced on motor that was making some bearing noise about 15 years ago.

Its funny I had a few noisy motors so I tried to grease them with the factory installed grease zerk. Did nothing, could hardly pump any grease into them. So I took the end plate off motor and pulled armature out and the bearings dont even have a groove for grease?? Why do they build things like this? Pulled bearings and replaced, motors have been like new since.

The lubrication interval is something crazy like 64,000 hours. Don't lubricate regularly or you will just clog up the windings and make them fail.

thanks guys, that's easy, just leave them alone ... it just every time I see a grease nipple I feel like I need to do something about it, haha

I had a few that were making noise so I took them apart and the yearly greasings had gotten all over the place. I cleaned them up and replaced the bearings with sealed bearings and they work great.
