I have six of the big DX-2000 timers, and the LEDs are failing to the point that one is almost unreadable. I've replaced that one with an LED-7 timer in the meter
door and will eventually replace them all. Dixmor won't repair the DX-2000 timer displays because there are almost 600 LEDs that have to be de-soldered and removed one at a time and replaced, and it would cost more in labor than a new timer.
My DX-2000s are 20 years old, and I go by a wash once a month that has some original LED-3 timers that are 30 years old, so they can last a very long time. Unfortunately, Dixmor has been using cheap Chinese LED panels that don't last and sometimes start to fail after just a month or two, but they honor their warranties and will continue to repair them outside warranty in a lot of cases.
