Having sold and serviced Hamilton and Unitec for many years, here’s my .02 worth. I am not current with either brand, having gone from distributor to operator but I can give general observations on them. The Hamilton’s were always more ruggedly built. What our military calls battle hardened. The software today is available to anyone. Put that in a rugged container that perps like to target, and You could have a winner. Love the free market. Keeps everyone on their toes.

A kit that would retrofit into a door of an ACW or gold line would be cool.
The dimensions of the Commander are identical to that of the ACW and Gold Line pay stations, just slide the old one out and the new one in.

Commander is $17,995 fully-loaded - touch screen, EMV credit card processing, XE validator, coin mech, barcode scanner, door & cabinet wraps, buy-up capabilities. Wash Bundles and Receipt Codes are also available with a Hosted Solutions subscription.

Looks like you can do free wash codes? That is what REALLY sucks on GoldLine & WS ll so far!
Matter of fact, I can't see how those 2 payststions can't get that done. That is an absolute MUST HAVE!

Pretty sure you can do codes on the Goldline too, as long as it has a keypad.

What Im talkin about, is giving some people in town a free wash coupon. I should have clarified.
But, can you give a free wash code that is redeemable ONLY 1x? Maybe that is the way to go...?

Yes, that would be the wash code. Hamilton's Tokenote would be a coupon. Mars has one too, but they're very expensive unless you buy 10,000+, and they end up just adding a cash value instead of reading like a wash coupon.

Wash Select II has several options in the fleet menu.

You can create a discount code, or give out a code for a free wash. You tell the software how many uses it is good for and what level wash they can utilize the code for. I make a bunch of codes for rewashes. I print off a list of these random codes and keep them with me in my wallet. When someone calls and has a problem and needs a rewash I just give them a code off my list. You can also create a code account for someone and give them a VIP card or code like a gift card or fleet card,

standard software allows 100 accounts. Enhanced fleet upgrade allows up to 1000 accounts

ETA- regardless- very interested in the Hamilton machine. A very fair price point for all these features. Would love to see a video of operation.

Goldline with DAN and upgrade can do single use codes. I think it also requires a monthly subscription....likely the new cashier does as well

Call Hamilton (sales?) to set up the hosted solutions with your GoldLines.
I believe you also need the DAN system and a monthly hosting fee and initial set up

Only noticeable differences between the Commander and Goldline is the touch screen and the big price tag. I think it may be a tough sell for many washes that already have a Goldline unless there is an affordable conversion path. New installations that are considering an ICS may look at the commander as a lower cost solution. Will be interesting to see the adoption rate for the box.
