I like the bottom of the HP hose to be at or just below my knee while I'm washing the side of a car. Where does your measurement put the low point?Been doing this for many years and every installation...
HP hoses = boom to floor length + 3 ft.
FB hoses = boom to floor length + 4 ft.
This is basically the same as our setup. We keep ours about 6 " or 7" off the bay floor when the gun is in the holder. You don't want the hose to be dragging on the bay floor when the customer is using it, they don't last very long when they are dragged on the bay floor.
Yeah, right about knee height works nicely.I like the bottom of the HP hose to be at or just below my knee while I'm washing the side of a car. Where does your measurement put the low point?
Who's knees? Mine(i'm 6'2") or my wife's(she's 5' nothing)Yeah, right about knee height works nicely.
I use 11' HP hoses with a swivel saver. If I used a hose so short that the gun can't reach the box, they'd be maybe 6' long and the gun wouldn't reach the floor by several feet.I don’t want the gun to reach the coin/credit card boxes because some customers spray the box's to try to get free wash’s. It doesn’t and all they do is the water freezes witch takes along time to thaw before I can dry them.
Hmmm, That's a great ideaWe put a hose bend restrictor on each end of the hose and flip flop the hose once a year. This helps get you more service life out of the hose.
