It's Sunday and my chores are done.

Family will be off shopping w/wife's mom.

Time for some relaxation.

Exercise and practicing my drumming usually hits my 'reset' button.

What ways do you get the best calming effect necessary to reboot your systems?

Can you explain how and when working at the wash relaxes you?

I find that relaxing sometimes, too, but it's far from the most effective way for me personally.

I'm with Mep, I just head up to the wash and tinker. I enjoy cleaning it up and thinking of new things I can do.

Going to the y ,and or bass fishing. I only feel relaxed at the wash when I have knocked off the list of repairs.

Relax

I play with my Golden Retreiver, fish, with a cigar in my mouth and a margarita or beer in my hand. Then if I'm feeling lucky, I'll go find the wife and give her a good swat on the but. I usually get a smile from that. ;) Know what I mean Pat, Greg,Randy,Scott,Jeff,Dave,Bill.

G, I know exactly how ya feel! Nothing better than floating around the pool with an ice cold beer in hand! Like Pat, I've never swatted your wife on the butt either.:D

I'm sure it's different for me than it is for you. I don't have a business to run while I'm there like you do with your detail shop. I like to play around with stuff and come up with ideas to make things work better, or at least different. Right now I'm experimenting with using an injector on the outlet of the pump and feeding it with soap under pressure rather than drawing it from the tank. It seems to work just as well, and I plan to move the injector to the boom since the longest hose run is almost 100' and I want the chemical changeover to be faster. If it remains trouble-free for a while I'll do it on all the bays.

A good cigar and a glass of fine Port wine. I haven't swatted your wife on the butt either but I'm game if she is.

I try to pick a Sunday that I don't have to much work at the wash, ( this does not always work). My hobby is working on classic cars, so I break the 1955 Chevy Bel Air and drive it to the wash , after doing work at wash I spend time cleanig and working on the the 55, this gives me the oportunity to spend time with customers and get to know them better.Have made several nice friends this way.

I relax by going flying, Today took the morning off and went to a FLY-IN at a mn airport. Had lunch there and went back to work for 10hrs. Flying is just too much fun.when flying a persons concentration is not on work.

I'm with Whale Of A Wash. Nothing like going off to a nice destination. I'm about 45 minutes to Key West and 1-1/2 hrs to the Bahamas. You go to the little islands that the cruise ships don't go to, and it really is another world.

How do you get there Mac? Charter boat, or fly. Which islands?

While talking to my wise 85 yr old farmer neighbor one day, I learned a valuable lesson. I said I needed to get going and work on my "to do" list. Erie said "when you die you will still have a to do list so don't worry about it". I immediately went home, got a cold beer, put my feet up, and appreciated the fine mountain view. I was relaxed and then Mary came home!
