Installing a new IBA

Looking at doing a friction IBA there are two suppliers that I'm interested in. Ryko soft gloss maxx and the wash world profile. Does anybody have experience with either of the machines to help make my choice? Pros? Cons? Repair costs?
 
It's all about the dealer in your area. Even though Ryko is corporate your area manager can be good or a crook just like any other distributor. Talk to other operators and not the ones they send you to for references. I have no experience with it but it looks to me like Belanger freestyler is a good machine with history that's known. I spoke to them at the carwash show and they said they will to support direct if you take a 1 day class i believe. This is EXTREMELY important because you do not want to be begging your distributor to come out and have no backup plan.
 
Are there any other manufacturers like wash4me mentioned with Belanger above, where they provide direct support?

My problem is any competent tech is 4 hours east or west of me. I'm on my own.

I hear Wash World actually deals with customers directly, unlike many of the other manufacturers. I hear good things on wash world but do not have any...YET.
 
Washworld cust. support is second to none. I have installed 2 used Washworld High Velocities and have had no problems getting support at ANY time. Days, nites and weekends. You can pretty much always get someone to call if they dont answer the phone. I have a couple friends that have Lasers and they call Washworld support for help. If you are handy and plan to do most of your own work Washworld is a great company to deal with.
 
I just installed a new WashWorld Razor and love it and my distributer "Professional Car Wash Systems" have excellent customer support when I call them they answer the phone and will be on-site either that day or first thing in the morning for either chemicals or service. As for customer support from WashWorld Inc is second to none when I call them they speak to you with respect and if you have WashView it makes troubleshooting sooooo much easier.

My only 2 cents worth would be to stay away from any of the manufacturers that have gone direct and eliminated distributors. I'm in FL and both Mark 7 and Ryko have done this, and I just love listening to operators who have to rely on their service. Both down here fired their long serving techs and hired people who basically took a few week maintenance course.
 
Well I've accidentally learned something again. In FL both companies fired their distributors and went direct. The Ryko distributors were among the biggest in the country with something like 20 service vans each. Then poof ! They were gone.
 
There’s a guy in Florida that reconditions and sells Soft Gloss machines that are basically better than new. He used to be a distributor.
 
With any purchase you have to go into it with your eyes wide open. Don't know who the FL guy is but ask what his warranty is. And what happens if he goes away? I see machines on ebay a lot for under 10K.
 
My wife and I are going to Vegas April 25. Hope to see lots of machines there to compare. Went through a Ryko soft gloss last month but don't have anything to compare it to.
As of now we have a Ryko 2001ohd machine and 8 ss bays with 2 truck wash ss.
One thing I did like with the profile was that it is wall mounted it creates a more inviting bay.
 
I bought a new machine recently and the Profile was one that I considered. I drove 4 hours to see one "In the wild". I was impressed with it and all things being equal, I would have bought one.
