The vendor manufacturer that builds our full size machines has developed a new version of the "Guaranteed Delivery System" called the Sensit III (3). The technology in this system is an enhancement of the Sensit II technology with an expanded memory capability and the ability to vend taller vending products such as the 16-20 Oz trigger pump bottles, 10 Oz Armorall bottles, 20 Oz tire foam spray cans, etc. These are normally too tall to fit into the vending machine without losing a tray plus they are difficult to vend because they bridge easily by leaning against the glass or land standing upright in the drop box. If the taller products land standing up, customers can not open the hopper door to retrieve them.
We have set up Sensit II machines for a few customers to vend these taller products by installing the taller products horizontally and finding a way to vend them. Installing the taller products horizontally solves two problems but may create an ?annoyance? on round cans or canisters. The two problems that are solved are the product does not stand up in the drop box and the product can not bridge by leaning against the glass. The one ?annoyance? is that the labels on round cans will not always face the customer for product recognition.
