Latches for clean outs on Fragramatics

A lot of the latches on the vacs at the wash are either loose, bent, or broken from age and use. The slots are worn out also. What are my options for repair on this without spending money on the latchless kits? Vacs have been neglected like the rest of the wash.

I was leaning towards replacing them, but was concerned about the slots they latch to on the door being worn. I cant Tell if the leaks are due to the latches being loose, the slots being worn out, or a combination of both.

Are those just aluminum pop rivets holding them on?

Replace both the latch and the rubber gasket. Most of the rivets are stainless steel. I use a bald headed screw when I replace the latches.

Can’t seem to find the latches on Kleen rite, car wash superstore, or fragramatics website. Am I just missing them? Does anyone have a link or source?

There are several kinds of latches on Fragramatics vacs. I suggest the Kleen-Rite heavy duty latch and strike. You'll need to drill new holes, but they're far cheaper and tougher than the regular latches they used. I use regular pop-rivets, no one cares if the rivet heads are stainless or aluminum, and the stainless ones are REALLY hard to use.

I was looking at the hex style security screws similar to fragramatics lid bolts since I already have a set of the security allen keys. Just to utilize the tools I already have available at the washes.

This is the same screw Hamilton uses, except it has the two small holes which needs a special tool.
